Hello everyone,
Happy 2024. I have been a member at transgenderheaven.com for some time, and I decided I should join up here as well. I think the biggest motivation was when I saw that crossdresserheaven was going to have an event at keystone this year (which I am planning on attending), and I thought, it's silly for me not to be a part of this online space.
I began this journey a long time ago — as a young teen. Not realizing at the time who and what I was, the authentic self was not even part of the global lexicon let alone something I could understand. I just always felt like no one "got all of me." They would get pieces of me.
As time went on, and I realized this was not a phase, and not a fetish I began to really question gender more directly. I have come to realize it's not about the clothes. It is not about "feeling like..." it is about "being" a woman. That is kind of where I stand these days.
I am unsure where the journey goes. I am making no "plans" outside of being myself as much as I can and taking steps to be happy, and fulfilled as much as I can. I am married, and have family and friends. There is one person who I told/have shown and while there is a measure of very limited support, it is still broadly a feeling of rejection. So i have been somewhat cautious. I am hoping this space (and keystone) begin to change that for me.
I am a life-long New York, living in the cities burbs, and still have love for the city. Love the theater and museums. Love history. Love to cook. Love the travel and be in the natural world. I love to take photos and work as an artist.
Hoping to meet and make friends here and hope to see some of you in March after getting to know you a bit here.
Andrea
Wow Ellie. Just wow. Thank you so much for you kind thoughts and words.
My cat was my bestie for 15 wonderful years. I am a total cat person. Poetry... not as much. LOL.
It sounds to me like we have so much in common. I hope to get to know you some more through here. It sounds like we have a lot we could discuss.
Thanks so much — Hugs back at ya.
Andrea
Hi Andrea,
Welcome to CDH. As Ellie said, that was a lovely intro, heartfelt and eloquent.
We love to chat here, so if you have any questions, want advice, like to exchange some light-hearted banter or need to vent, go for it!
Welcome aboard Andrea from a fellow NYC burb resident!
Hi Andrea,
Welcome to CDH.

Hi Andrea. Welcome to CDH.
You have achieved a very meaningful piece of writing. It will be a pleasure to also share this space, which has been so generous with me, with you.
Like you, I have been a member of Transgender Heaven for a couple of years and I am hoping to be able to attend Keystone this year to meet many sisters and share precious time with them.
You have arrived at a great place, with a very welcoming and collaborative community. I'm sure you'll love, as much as I do, being a part of this.
