Hi, I am an older crossdresser living in the Kansas City area. I have been crossdressing since I was very young. Growing up in the 50's I was in the closet for the longest time (everyone was in the closet in those days). I became more open about my crossdressing in the 90's and told my wife about Louise. She was very supportive. When she passed away a few years ago a new chapter opened in my life. On the one hand I was much lonelier without my life partner, on the other hand I found myself freer to express myself without causing embarrassment to my wife. Last week I attended the KC Pridefest as Louise. It felt great to be around accepting people, even if most of those in attendance were younger than my children. 🙂

BTW, I initially thought that you'd attended the 'KFC Pridefest'.
I said to myself, 'Isn't it wonderful that a fried chicken emporium should be so supportive of the LGBQT+ community?'. Then I put my glasses on.

Yes there's loads of us of a certain age but I'd challenge you to determine that if we didn't put our ages in our profiles, this community brings out the youngster in us!
I, too, offer my condolences on your loss. Nothing will replace your wife but you'll find support and understanding here among like-minded sisters.

I see from your profile that you are almost as old as me. It was hard to grow up as a crossdresser when we were young. It is much easier now, but unfortunately, I no longer have the figure I had when I was younger.
Welcome Louise. I'm sorry to hear of your loss. You are not the first girl here who has found crossdressing as one way to help moving forward following a loss. Sounds like you are an experienced girl and maybe you can help some of the girls who are not so far along in their journey (such as myself 😂) . You can expect nothing but love and support in a really safe space. I think you're going to love it here. I certainly do!
