Hi Bobby, Michelle here in San Diego. It can be hard for big girls. I'm 6'5" and pretty big myself. For clothes I love Catherines, Lane Bryant, and The Avenue. Long Tall Sally is good for bigger shoes. En Femme has wigs, clothes, all kinds of accessories, and caters to crossdressers. Good luck!
Hi Bobby and welcome to CDH. As someone who used to work retail, if someone in a store makes you feel bad in any way, no matter what the store is or how they make you feel, ask to speak to a manager. Ask politely, don't demand, but make sure they know that you mean business. If that person doesn't take care of the problem, you ask to speak to their manager until you talk to whoever is in charge of that store. If that doesn't work, you keep going up the ladder until you talk to someone at the corporate office if you have to. I practically guarantee you you'll eventually get a personal apology and a promise that it will never happen again. And if you don't, businesses love it when the state Attorney General's office gets involved.
