Hello. My name is Nikki. I live in Salt Lake City Utah. I have been a closet crossdresser for my whole live. As a young boy I would sneak into my aunt or sisters room and try on underwear and their clothes. About 3ish years ago I wanted to explore myself more so I broke the news to my wife who was not happy. After a near divorce and a lot of couples therapy we are in a much better place
I have been exploring my feminine side for 3 years and have a room full of clothing, shoes, bras, underwear, makeup, wigs, breast forms, etc. I have loved the journey and have really found my balance between my love of being a guy (80%) and my love of all things girly (20%). I have really spent the time exploring my own likes and dislikes and find crossdressing to be an amazing experience.
I think more than anything I would love an in person friend who I can chat with and maybe go clothes shopping with...it is very lonely going shopping alone. I don't have any friends let alone a best friend and a dream would be finding a best friend who also crossdresses.
I have given up mostly in that hope since it is impossible finding people locally that share the same interests, etc.
My wife will occasionally come with me to shop which is such an improvement and I'm so grateful (that is more than most people can say) but having someone who is going through this same journey would be nice.
Anyway, my name is Nikki and looking forward to reading comments and learning more about others journey.

Really, that's what it's like here, we encourage and support each other in this journey. We are also a broad church in terms of ages, experience and goals but we all love to express our feminine sides.

@rockcdfan Hi, Nikki! It's good to have you here. I'm in a similar place, although I think my feminine side is more like the 80% (probably more). I'm not out to my wife (or anyone else), and I can't imagine the marriage would survive. Your wife is really understanding and, in a world so unforgiving and "black-and-white" on the topic of gender, she deserves a lot of credit.
I don't think I could be the friend who goes shopping with you; it'd be a long commute for one of us. Count me there emotionally.
In any case, be strong and be thankful that you've found a collection of friends who will support you in any way we can.

You were given some good advice and tips already, but I want to add one more for your wife. Maybe she would like some new related friends or confidants, too.
CDH has a private area for wives and other SOs. If she is interested in helping herself, she can contact an ambassador for access.

@rockcdfan Nikki, thank you for the compliment on my pics. I'm very proud of them, and revisiting them gives me a bit of a thrill. I love pink! But you should know the truth. In real life I get no chance to make myself pretty at all. Long story. You may come across some of my frustrated posts 😂. The pics are from two professional makeovers I've had recently. Completely life changing experiences in my book. The ladies here know my story and despite not being able to dress, their support and friendship is absolutely invaluable. Hopefully crossdressing is less about frequency and more about inner feelings. If you put a little of yourself into this community I guarantee you'll reap the rewards in spades.
