My transgender friend Naomi has collected her thoughts on transitioning in a new book available in most marketing venues. I have given copies to some of my trans friends, and encourage others to acquire a copy for themselves. It's titled Lost on My Yellow Brick Road by Naomi Chana Philipson. Naomi lives full-time as a woman and she speaks to her trials and successes in doing so.
