Hi I’m Amber!

I’ve been a cross dresser since 1962. Back then it was Not accepted at all by most of society but fortunately I grew up across the Hudson river from NYC , Soho and the Village where acceptance was better but also there was those who would try to exploit persons like me. You learn to be careful real fast!
Since this is an “intro”, Here we go; Disabled Navy Combat vet, “BrownWater Navy” for you VN vets. I find that there are many of us girls that are military combat vets. Mostly private expression of my femininity  Many many years as acceptance more relevant, I thought it was great that they stopped considering us mentally deficient!  And it was removed from the DSM list.

I was blessed with three daughters and two granddaughters who are now my best supporters of my life. When I opened up to my oldest daughter I gave her 3 guesses for something I had been keeping in solitude my entire life, she guessed on the second guess! I am able to shop and to socialize with them and they a very helpful,Amazing!

There is a lot more to this story That I’ll tell later, like running 6 marathons 26.2 miles after 50 years old ( as a male so as not to interfere with the cis runners race). I am very comfortable with my identity and pretty much have been most of my life. Be who you are!!!!!

Thanks to all and Cross Dresser Haven for Having this for am available it is truly liberating
Love Amber

Your welcome and happy to have you join us here. I'm only a lonely Canadian who served in the  reserves up here but do appreciate true veterans here and over there in your great country the USA. Even though were different folks by boundries were all the same. And now we're all one in this amazing community. Congratulations on opening up to your daughters as I too am privileged in having 3 wonderful daughters and 7 awesome grandchildren. Other than my wife who knows about Stephanie I'm sure in time maybe soon they will find out. And hope acceptance will happen.

Now  that you have found us start expressing yourself with complete confinance. Here our ladies are so understanding and very supportive. Meet with some of them and enjoy their help and most of all  acceptance to  make your time here such a wonderful experience. Making friendships is so much fun and know there’s always someone here to talk to and to listen when needed.  Happy to meet you and hope to see you sometime here soon.   Hugs

Hi Amber,  first thank you for your service in VN. Then welcome to CDH. Next I am happy for you that your daughters have accepted your lifestyle and that you can go femme shopping with them. That is really awesome. Love Kathleen.

Hi Amber, Teralynn here. Welcome to our merry band of crossdressing people. You and I have a lot in common. In addition to being crossdressers, both of us are Vietnam era veterans. I was in the Marine Corps during that period of time and served in Quang Tre Province up by the DMZ. We also have told loved ones about our crossdressing and found them to be supportive. I never dressed at an early age or had any desire to do so. But once I learned about my previous lives as a female, and started to explore my feminine side I took to it like I had been doing it all my life. Today I am comfortable being John or Teralynn depending on the situation. Let us face it, that even in this day and age there are people who try to take advantage of women. It is in those situations when battle hardened Marine John comes out to deal with the situation. Most of the time I am Teralynn. Kind, loving and spiritual. Once I found out that I could express both sides of my personality, it just made sense to me to do so. I think you will enjoy being a member here. You will not find a more friendly and supportive group of people for crossdressing people. If I can ever be of service please feel free to contact me through this site and let me know how I can help. - Blessings

Hi Amber.

First thank you for serving our country as a soldier. I am amazed at how many veterans there are who are keenly aware of their feminine essence. I also struggle to wrap my mind around how difficult a challenge it must be to be in such an extreme male environment while sensing your femininity and needing to keep yourself deeply closeted. Oh my; The pressure must be intense!

Well you are here now. Enjoy this freedom and grow into the best you possible.

Kindly,

Charlene
