Been crossdressing in secret for a few years, now my wife knows and is indifferent. Doesn't say a thing. I really want to go deeper but scared. I am going to an out of town hotel for 2 nights, want to crossdress. Is like a resort hotel.

I don't do makeup or hair at all at this point.

Any ideas?

Hi Doug

Hopefully one of the girls in your neck of the woods may be able to help you out (to save everyone looking, Doug is in Choctaw, Oklahoma).

Meanwhile, while you're waiting - welcome to Crossdresser Heaven! This is an amazing place filled with the most amazing friendly and supportive people. I've only been a member for a month but it already feels like my second home.

Enjoy!

Hugs

Ellie x

Welcome to the group, you're going to love it here, everyone is so supportive and helpful, this IS the right place to be for information and advice with the "first steps" to crossdressing and being "the woman you want to be"...!!! It sounds like you are still early in the learning/experimental process...especially when you mention, "don't do makeup or hair"...I can only suggest to take "small steps", read and learn as much as you can from the experiences of all the other members here, most who have "been there, done it" and learn from their successful experiences, as well as those, not as successful. If you're like me, I cross dress because I LOVE it...because nothing else at this time in my life, brings me more pleasure...but it requires developing a "confidence" in yourself as you learn to draw that inner woman, out. GOOD LUCK to you...it's not going to happen over night...or over "2 nights"...be patient with yourself and give yourself the time it takes to bring it ALL together...!!!

Hi and welcome!

So many folks that I have talked to say that getting your first professional makeover is one of the, if not the, most memorable occasions they have ever come across.

I have not had the opportunity yet, but for me it is going to be soon. My new gf (dang, I am SO glad I came out to her within the first few weeks) is so supportive and is going to get a makeover with me at the same time!

Don't know if a makeover is possible for you, either based on location or finances, but if you can...go for it!

Welcome to CDH, Doug!

Have you ever thought about a femme name yet, if you want one? It can help to get in the mood.

Lola Bond? Jamie Bond? Just thinking out loud. 🫣

If the resort has a salon, contact them, and see if they'll do a makeover for you. Trust me, most makeup artists have already delt with us at one time or another. If you're wearing or planning on wearing a wig, they will probably style that for you also.

Good Luck,

Jessica

Doug - welcome to CDH.  You need not be concerned about being scared.  I know it is true for me and I suspect for many others that no matter how long you have been dressing there is often (always?) a little degree of uncertainty when you get all done up and go out.  Frankly, I find the unease to be  more excitement than anything else.  The first steps are the hardest but each time it gets less scary and more like looking forward to any pleasant, new experience.

Let me urge you to spend time on the site - lots of forums and articles with great information.  You also will enjoy joining us on Chat - new friends with common interests and many with years of experience and knowledge to share.

A final thought - unlike me you are quite fortunate to have a wife who knows about your femme self.  Having to keep the secret as I do is quite taxing.

I look forward to visiting.  Feel free to contact me if I can be of any help.

Victoria

Being scared in understandable. My wife does not know and would probably flip if she did. I guess the question would be is your wife OK indifferent or about to blow up

I thought that it was kind of logical. It is also gender neutral, so it could be handy at times.

I’m going to call you Donna for now in honor of actress Donna Douglas. So, Donna, you have a lot of choices. Neither Harriette nor I shave but we dress all the same. There’s always underdressing, your men’s clothes over women’s undies. Remembering women wear slacks, shorts, leggings, and blouses, tunics, tees might help you start slow. You don’t have to right to “full femme”.

Hugs & kisses,
W.

It's Bond, Jamie Bond!

Now that is a keeper name, IMHO!

Welcome to CDH, 007!

Vimala said, Go slow and everything will be alright.

That sounds like good advice to me which I have taken on my crossdressing journey.

I have learned much crossdressing, but patience is high on the list!

In one Bond movie, I think it was:

Bond, "You want me to talk."

Villian, "No Mr. Bond I want you dead."

Ahh, Jamie, I think we want you to talk here at CDH as you are comfortable. 🙂

Catherine
