Hello all:
I was briefly a member of this site a few years ago. My name was Josie Dwee and after a few weeks on here a depression descended and it ended up destroying whatever I just built up. Since that time I've been working my way back into life so I decided to try this again. Unfortunately it's been a rough time joining back, but I'm going to try to stick it through. I'm trying to choose better and to be more social and make real connections, so we'll see how this goes.
And I'm trying to be social both online and offline. I've tried eschewing one for the other and that never worked out, so I need to do both, but better. I've already been going out dancing and meeting new people dressed en femme so now it's time to join better communities online that are more supportive than the places I've been going to. I hope this leads me to better times ahead. Time to move ahead and find out. Feel free to stop by for a chin wag.

As someone who suffers from depression myself I can understand where you're coming from. This is a genuinely warm and supportive community though - it really is with sticking with us! I honestly don't think you'll find a better online CD/TG support group than this one.
I signed up as recently as July 2023, so I missed you the first time you were here. In the short time since then this place has very much changed my life for the better. I've gone from being completely closeted, with no-one at all knowing I'm trans, to having the confidence to go out and about with friends in a little over a year. It's all due to CDH. Working here (for free, as all our staff members do) is my way of saying thank you.
Enjoy the site, and if you need help with anything don't be afraid to ask.

It has been a few months since you joined CDH, so how have things changed with you?
@harriette I'll be honest with you, it hasn't been great. After I rejoined I got into another depression again that I'm finally coming out of. In fact, I may post about my experiences soon in hopes it helps someone. It also didn't help that the only person on here to communicate with me was a catfisher. That's one good thing about being out is that it's easy to expose a catfisher by saying "hey, let's do a video chat!". If they don't take you up on it, then you know you're dealing with a phony. Anyway, I'm feeling better now, so it's time for me become a presence on here again.
@orcharddwee I am sorry to hear about your reception here, so far, Orchard.
One habit that I have always used on-line is to keep almost everything out in the open. It is rare for me to converse privately, especially with new contacts. While doing so may seem detached and not be all that intimate, doing so has kept me safe since the early '80s, before the World Wide Web became a thing.
I look forward to seeing you more active here in the future.
