I really think I like feminine dressing but am not very sure because of the societal thoughts. Have sneaked and wore a few dresses at times but I don't own one. Suggestions on various ways to go ahead and what to buy. Also, hairstyle tips for girly girly styles
Welcome Vishruthi. You have come to a great community to help you through your path and the options of crossdressing. The girls here are very supportive and helpful, with tips and advice but allow you to process at your own pace.
Hugs

Oh and whilst your nerves are understandable, CDH will help you develop your confidence and overcome those nerves!
Don’t be nervous, you are in a great place here at CDH.
Hey Vishruti
Welcome to CDH. You might still be nervous about your dressing, but there's no reason at all to feel apprehensive here. It's a wonderful community, and you'll quickly discover that everyone is very friendly and supportive.
Sit back, relax, and take time to explore!

It’s always nervous in the beginning, even I can remember that from way back when, but you are surrounded by friends here.
Welcome to CDH, Vishruthi!
While crossdressing more seriously may be new to you, take your time learning from those with experience. Read the forum topics and build your bank of CD knowledge and ideas. Knowledge builds confidence.
Start experimenting with styles, to see what works for you and what you like. As for hair styles, maybe find a friendly, supportive hairdresser and get advice for the shape of your face. There are also diagrams on-line that recommend hair styles compared to face shapes. Wig stores do this, too.
Oh boy, where to start. Know we are all different and different aspects of our gift are triggers that get our attention. High heels for example, dresses, makeup, hose, all act as triggers to each of us differently. Take the time to explore each faucet of being female and discover yourself. I grew up during a period where hose, heels, and skirts and dresses were everyday wear. Not so today, it’s flip flops and leggings for the female masses. Just let your body and brain guide you along. There is no right or wrong path to follow, only your own.
Hello Vishruthi welcome to CDH I am glad you have shared a part of who you are in your background and intro and having found us you have made the step to become part of a family that is welcoming, understanding, compassionate, and supportive. While we are all similar and have many of the same desires we all differ on our goals or public expression and or level of personal experiences. I encourage you to explore the many forums, topics, polls and member biographies found here as there are a wide range of members all over the spectrum of feminine expression from crossdressing to those on the path to transition and those that have. There are also links to websites that have products and services that may help you on your own personal path of acceptance and self expression. Ultimately it is a place, home, or world were you can feel feel comfortable and confident in who you are; as being who you truly are as your authentic self of you being a man who crossdresses to feel feminine and comfortable or as woman full time what ever your level of expressing your feminine desires, feelings, and or qualities. I am happy you are here and have made a choice to accept this part of yourself as self acceptance is the most important thing you can do for yourself and others. You can’t expect others to accept you if you don’t accept yourself all of you. As you are sharing a part of your authentic self here on CDH it ultimately lifts some of the burden that you may be feeling which many of us have carried for what seems like a lifetime you are not alone. Being here helps not only yourself but helps others gain acceptance and confidence I am happy you have made the step to be here. Welcome!
Hugs April

Hi Vishruthi,
None of us experimented one day and went full femme the next. As others have said, there’s a lot of variety among us and you have time to figure out what works for you. I suggest reading member's bio's and looking at our pictures to get some ideas.
Hugs & kisses,
W.
You can do it all, but don’t do it all at once. This is such a fun pastime, do a little something different each time you dress. One day try , say doing nails. If you like that and are comfortable with your effort try something else say a wig, or a foundation. Personally I would save makeup for last as it is, as my sisters will tell you, the hardest thing to master . You now have a whole new world of supportive sisters to help you. Seek advice anytime. Keep smiling!
Hi Visruthi,

Hi Vishruthi.
Welcome to CDH!
Like Ellie said, you might still feel nervous about your dressing, that's okay, we are all at one stage or another on our crossdressing journey, but like Ellie said, no need to feel nervous being part of CDH.
You said: I really think I like feminine dressing
Okay, just so you know we tend to be transparent here, I love feminine dressing and all things feminine. Can't say I was always so free to admit it, had to grow into it, but glad I recently finally accepted I always wanted to be a crossdresser, I am now a full-time private dresser and just love it.
So, with that said, take advantage of what CDH has to offer as you feel comfortable.
