I am looking forward to April 12 Social at Doubletree in Oakbrook. It will be first time dressed out of the house for me. Better late than never : )

Kendra indicated CDH members are few to attend so far, but we'd love to see more members from the great state of Illinois plus nearby southern Wisconsin and western Indiana.
I myself live far away in MN so my attendance will revolve around other Chicago business (sporadic.)

I’ve never attended a T event but I am tempted. Is it safe for a tgirl? I have a few outfits that are conservative but stylish.
Kerri, it's about as safe as you can get and still be out in the real world! It's where I first ventured out...Just DON'T park in the parking garage-you'll have to walk through the lobby, a real first-timer test of nerves (voice of experience 🤣 ) Park in the south parking lot; you'll have no issues...
My first time out as a t-girl will be at Chi-town Gender Alliance Social at Doubletree in Oak Brook on April 12. Kendra has attended and indicated it is a very safe place to start. Usual attendance about a dozen. We would be happy to meet you there : )

@kendra2024 The problem is not eating breakfast early, it is waiting 12 hours for the party to start : )
What is the usual mode of dress for this event? Casual or formal? Examples? Would love to attend if I can summon the courage to face the SO and possibly find a place to get dressed and do makeup!

@tmu4fun Danielle-it runs the gamut, from jeans to dressy. It all depends on what you have and what you want to do. Personally, I like to look classy, because most days at home I do girl drab. Don't know your finances, but it IS in a hotel, if you were able to get a "dressing" room
@kendra2024 thanks for the insight. I don't necessarily want to pay a room charge to get dressed - that's the cheap German in me - but I appreciate your suggestions! I will be in touch
@tmu4fun 😕 No, you're not cheap-I cringed at suggesting it 😆 but i had little idea of your circumstances-you might be a millionairess, it might be your one opportunity to get out and present... hopefully you'll overcome all the obstacles!
