This is my first forum topic.
I've seen some interest in Chicago-area meeting up, but nothing firm is ever put out there, and eventually the topic poops out. Thinking back to my experience, I think I have an answer.
Chicago Gender Alliance (evolved from the old Chi-Chapter of Tri-Ess) has events every Saturday, and on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 7-10pm, they meet in the hotel bar of the Doubletree Hotel in Oak Brook.
Top tip: enter by the south entrance to avoid having to walk through the hotel lobby.
These events were my first time out in public, so for all of you "rookies", here's the best chance you're EVER going to get!... Very welcoming, no cost except for your food and drink, if you need a place to change, well, it's a hotel... The staff is very sympatico, and it's not a "what if nobody else shows up?" thing. I'm sure if we wanted to, we could cluster around our own table, but it's an atmosphere with a LOT of latitude...
So that will be February 8th. As Bluto said in "Animal House", "I'm going-who's with me?" 🤣 PS-I may recall some wives/GFs there but regardless, I'm sure they'd be welcome and comfortable.

The day is almost here! Remember-you won't find a better, safer opportunity to appear in public. This gathering was my first time out, 4 months ago, and I've come light years beyond that in that short span of time...so why not give it a try? 😉
