Good morning girls, just wondering if any of our UK ladies know CD safe/accepting cafes in or around Derbyshire.
im seriously considering going out and just wanted somewhere safe I can get a coffee and maybe a piece of cake.
Any suggestions most welcome, Jane ❤️
Like Becca says, you really don't need to overthink it. I wouldn't think twice about going en femme by day anywhere in urban Derbyshire, or any of the rural parts that see a lot of tourism - that'll be most of the county covered, for a start. By night, I might consider the area and the local attitude a bit more, but still not expect any problems.
I agree with our other U.K. ladies. I have never had an issue wherever I have been. If you are a little nervy about towns then garden centres can be a better option as they tend to have a more 'genteel' clientele.

thank you all so much, love the advice, I think my hometown is probably ok, but as I work in 3 secondary schools and the kids see me, it just feels a little close to home you might say ♥️
I hadn’t thought about garden centres but that does make so much sense now and certainly on my list now.
You are right I do feel nervy about the whole thing, but I feel I need to get out..
thank you all so much ❤️♥️❤️
Hi Jane Louise.
A fellow girl I know, who lives in Mansfield, regularly goes out to the MacArthur Glen at junction 28 M1. She says the shop assistants at M&S and Roman are exceptionally kind. She's also been to Matlock Bath and Buxton and said no one battered an eyelid.
She's trying to entice me out at the moment but I'm not quite there yet.

Hi Jane, I've only just found your posting but I am in a virtually identical sitiuation, trying to find the right places to go. @lucyb112 and I are meeting up in Burton this weekend but not dressed, just to have a chat. My main difficulty is that I dare not get dressed at home so I am trying to come up with somewhere I can get dressed, then go out as Rosalind.
One other fun 'problem' and @annaredhead post had me lauging, is that I AM a van driver, so do look into cars but I think if I was dressed while driving the van, it could get some very 'interesting' looks.
I will be watching this topic with great interest. Maybe one day all us Derby / Staffs. girls can meet up.
Rosalind xx
Coffee shops are great places to go. Never a problem and the added bonus that they usually have gender neutral toilets. My preference is Costa, but Starbucks have this thing where they take you name and call it when your drink is ready.... Always special hearing your name being called!

I made a promise I would not go out dressed as Coleen to my wife. And have managed to keep that promise so far. The reason, I do not want to rock the boat as it were. My wife is fine with me taking my fem clothing and joining in at a trans meeting at the LGBT hub in Edinburgh. It happens once a month and I just wish it was more often that I could dress with others.
