I missed Halloween 2024 and only dress up for Halloween. Enter “Halfway to Halloween” where 6 mo after Halloween, a sister party to the large Fetish and Fantasy party is put on (see Fetish and Fantasy Ball). At the time of my post, this is TBA. if we get enough to attend, I’ll see about a group rate for hotel discount. Unknown if it’s at a club or hotel.
don’t let a cheap airline ticket stand in your way of a good time. We have allegian, frontier, spirit (you do it once lol)…
we have two main makeover places in Vegas, n2 the looking glass and Just you. Both are great. I’ve also used harmony spa for non-costume.
hotels won’t be as bad as normal Halloween that sell out in wk1 September!
huuuge costume shop there to buy costumes from. I get there a day early and find one then. Have an idea-choices are overwhelming.

at this posting i don’t have tickets or hotel. i have stayed in several hotels in the area before. it will be time before we know it so let’s gauge interest and get a hotel discount or some group perk. min ticket $45 to entry. my wife wants me to have friends going to this so i’m not by myself.

@sahiti i can say it many different ways. just do it! you won’t be the only one and that’s why this is fun. if you do show up, and you’re not being all you can be, then regret will surely be felt. there is still time to think it over. you can also wait until last minute (for the party) and that’s fine too. hope to see you!

Like you, I've been in stealth mode, but I'm going looking forward to going out en femme for the first time. It would be more fun with friends.
I'd come out the day before and would also like to meet members for a meal and/or sights like the Bellagio fountains, gondolas at Venetian, makeover, etc.
I’m sad for the lack of interest in this. so many of our fiction stories revolve around Halloween. We think about this day of acceptance each night of the year that it’s not, and now an opportunity comes, and it’s quiet. i have lived even a basic halloween night and it surpasses all the makeover scenes, bars and parties, that we read about. enchanting? fun? how about mind-blowing?
well, despite the euphoria of doing all of this, i don’t want to do it alone. my wife has asked that i don’t go solo, and i’m going to reciprocate that to her - gladly because she is awesome. having said that, i have partied solo and while fun, would rather have friends due to the price of it all (we have discounted tickets now!). the airline ticket, hotel… it’s $1k easy. still, credit card it and pay it off the rest of the year if it’s hard. it’s worth it …because i’ve done that too.
so i’m about to pull the plug. it’s two months away and there are no plans.
it’s April 26th, a saturday. i’ll hang on till then.

@signoraaria thank you. hotels go up wildly the last 5weeks prior to the day you want, so our time is running short. as luck has it, work approved my vacation request so i do have the time. gotta talk to wife though to finalize. IF i can count on others being there.

@signoraaria yes do it! i’ve done it several times. i describe it as a hiding in plain sight kinda thing. if your wife is like mine, having friends is good so she doesn’t have to worry about you walking alone. we can drink more! lol

I really would like to see this event explode! I would love to participate.
I have always fantasized about Halloween public excursions. It was always my excuse to eventually fully dress in earnest and find my real femme self.
This last Halloween I actually finalized my preparation and blossomed as a true real life CD. Even took a couple of test runs out n about with wife and I having a couple of drinks. But things came up and never went out for Halloween.
This is a second opportunity! There are many pros and only a one major roadblock for attending.
1st it makes up for missed Halloween...
2nd it is slated for the same week as my birthday!
3rd I live in the inland area of So Cal and its a easy drive/road trip.
SADLY ON THE OTHER HAND...... I have not been working much these last couple of years, I have no discretionary iincome. My wife keeps reminding me that the situation could become even dire in the event of just any minor setback or emergency stuation. (I consider my Temu girl stuff a major luxury) . Also my wife is very wary of my CD hobby and it might take major convincing and explaining why I am keen on exploring this event.
Mostly if the finances were there it would be easier to sell her on a Vegas roadtrip period! I do enjoy gambling too, she does not. I am sure this would be another stumbling block!
HOWEVER, PLEASE PLACE ME IN THE DEFINATE MAYBE CATEGORY.
I think this is one of those things that will have to be played by ear and rather spontaneous trip... i know I know I know does not sound like too much of a commitment.
I have to get my hustle on and put some bread on the table to earn such luxury! PLEASE KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED.

@signoraaria Yes indeed sweetie, I found out that link and the event page and got the info on ticket purchase and everything....
I noted that it is not just a cd event but an overall general kink type of event.
That makes it even better, because I believe my wife would be much more interested in going as a spectator to a "freakshow" than if its just a CD exclusive meetup. The fact that it isnt full blown on the night of October 31st also is a plus, because if I know her,,,, she would rather not be out in the thick of things on the real Halloween. She will beleive this to be subdued and less crowded....
At least that will be my pitch.... Now its just coming up with some sort of piggy bank money to pay for some Vay-cay away. Oh and also must come up with a costume from what I understand... Hmm? My wife is not too into that but I think we can figure out something for her..
Sheesh I just want to dress to the nines and have a great time being extravagantly sexy dressed with my stilettos heels that are just too much attention anywhere else... hmm any ideas what some of the others are thinking of for a costume? I think they are going to want us to do more thsn dress as just a girl...

I think it will be alot of fun driving thru the desert all dressed up in my Temu girl stuff. It is not really bimbo or especially trashy or slutty even,,,, but it is probably a little more attention grabbing than most ladies my age might typically wear. But I dont look hideous, so thats a good thing.
I dont dress up to look like Mrs Doubtfire!
@joezdahlhouse Yes, it is not a CD event, it is an extra Halloween, which is the CD holiday : ) Informal meetup, no cost other than Hard Rock admission ticket and your own food & drink. Vegas strip has gotten higher priced, but if you stay farther out hotels cost less.
@joezdahlhouse Oops on your costume question, I like your idea to be glam with your favorites. As you say, too much elsewhere is just right for Vegas : ) For myself, I am thinking Viking shield maiden, which I already have. This will be my first time dressing in public, which a little scary, but I'd feel much better with the group.

i sympathize with financials. having been where you are once, i dove in with both feet and it was solo cuz i didn’t know anyone. it was worth paying off the rest of the year so i speak from experience. haaaaa i remember buying a waist cincher from walmart and then uber telling me that i was out of funds for the ride back to my hotel so i had to walk 2+miles back! i didn’t have a credit card on me to fix it or some deal like that. i don’t like borrowing money also, so the intrinsic war rages on. this is temporary however and i see it as too important for us to miss. life is too short. now, it’s a little too close for definite maybe. the hooters hotel, called OYO has been $50/night average (without looking) and is usually a cheap option. hotels are largest expense i’ve found. if we can coordinate well on this, i have every offer to pay for the rental car myself for us all. i’m getting one anyway.
@joezdahlhouse yah i don’t gamble. i may dress up and hit some slots to get ‘free’ drinks but that’s about it. it’s comfortable!

@highcountrygirl Shawna, i think that the whole thing will implode. there is no list. no one has committed to going. i suppose that i should secure a hotel room just in case because NOW IS THE TIME. i had dreams that we would have lined this up a month ago and could get a discount block of rooms together and a table at the event. getting a hotel inside of 5weeks is way more expensive. i just checked the OYO hotel and it’s hovering at $120/night including a resort fee. check priceline or whatever and may be better. OYO is hooters and is right around the corner from the hard rock. golden gate way up there by fremont st is where i’ve stayed before. cortez is good. and RIO… all less on the nerves for walking in-out in costume. OYO may not be. it has a big lobby. but opens to public quickly to calm nerves. it’ll be difficult to beat the OYO hotel price. the old hotels by fremont may hold a deal. i like getting makeovers at n2thelookingglass.co (no com) or amy at just you, and they are in between fremont and down here at hard rock. not a big deal except for the uber ride to the party. we won’t care about nerves on the way back to the hotel lol! if we could commit to a few, maybe a suite somewhere can be cheaper! sorry, i’m just a little deflated if it seems like my excitement is waning. people need time to get off from work and airline tickets…. so that’s why i’m glum.

Halfway To Halloween – Killer Events LV
Costume ball is at Hard Rock Cafe, which is next to MGM Grand on The Strip.
Make your own ground transportation and room reservations. OYO Hotel is across Tropicana from event (EZ walk) and is about half the cost of nearby strip hotels. Cheaper places farther out. Easy walking south Strip from OYO, and there are elevated trams along the Strip.
Besides the costume ball, I'd be arriving Thursday afternoon April 24, going home Sunday. Most major airlines have multiple daily flights to Las Vegas.
I'd be glad to meet CDH members for sightseeing, shopping, makeover, dining etc. Ideas:
Thursday April 24 - check in OYO starts at 4 PM. Change out of drab. Explore Las Vega strip and dine Thursday evening. Link to map of Las Vegas Strip and free trams:

Other ideas would be more sightseeing, makeover (Ster knows a couple CD friendly places), shopping, Gondola ride at Venetian, fountains and displays at Bellagio, lots of dining options. Nearby Hoover Dam tour also possible. Other ideas?

Writing again to encourage members to come to an informal meetup in Vegas, weekend of Halfway to Halloween costume ball April 26. Ster Eleo had the great idea, and also has a great vision of a large group, block of rooms, etc.
We're not getting a large response so far. A friendly thought I had was a small group of us could attend this year, have a great time, and post photos and stories so more members are excited for next year. I outlined some ideas for fun in my above post, and here's the link about costume ball, too:

OYO hotel is nearby and costs less than hotels like MGM and NY NY.
Nearby strip is walkable, but I'm renting a car and can help with transport from airport, to makeovers and tours.
