Oops I realize my recent post entitled Calendar of Chicago CD Events is not specific to meetup on April 12, and I can't edit it now that there have been replies.
Details for event are inside the post, and I'll briefly summarize. It is local Chi-town Gender Alliance Social at Doubletree in Oak Brook, IL, starting 7 PM on Saturday April 12. Link:
Member Kendra has attended and indicates it is a safe venue. Staff is friendly. No fee, just show up and buy your own food and beverage.
Others may have what they like, but I'll just be drinking club soda or tonic water.
It will be my first time dressed out of the house, and I'd love to have some more CDH members along.

Funny story, when I told a friend from Chicago I used to live near Rockford, he said "oh, that's downstate." I said actually we were northwest of Chicago. He said "you don't understand; there's Chicago, and everything else is downstate." : )
