Week after next I'm heading to Savanna Georgia and a couple of days at Hilton Head. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to see or do ?
@robertaf . I love to walk the riverfront to see them make taffy from one of the oldest taffy machines, enjoy the fudge and all the other sweets and the general ambiance. There are great restaurants, such as Vic's, and the Hyatt has the best buffet breakfast I have ever found anywhere. It's a great place to explore. There is a lot of entertainment on the waterfront and nearby. Hilton Head is more relaxed... great for riding bikes, enjoying the beach, or visiting the shopping center with all sorts of boutique shops. My last visit was less than pleasant as I stepped on a stingray.. felt like it took a chunk out of my leg; even boiling water felt good compared to that (and soaking in boiling water is the only remedy). Be sure to shuffle your feet when in shallow water so as to minimize the chance of being attacked.
I was wondering when you were going on your next trip. This one will hopefully be a lot better than the last one. Have fun!

I'm leaving the Savannah area after about 2 weeks. I'll make a stop outside Atlanta to meet with my former co-workers, and then be heading back to New Jersey.
Unfortuanely I can't offer any advice of places to see, as I've been stuck indoors most of the time helping my ex who just had knee surgery.

If you have a car, do the Savannah Wildlife Sanctuary. Great chance to see gators in their natural setting.
