Recently I was fortunate to have two short CD sessions of about an hour and a half each on subsequent days…which gave me the opportunity to get used to wearing my wig while enjoying being out for a walk ….
Session 1
The weather was a bit changeable. While I waited for the weather to settle, I got on with trying on two new dresses I had bought online. I started with a sleeveless summer dress (patchwork style, shades of blue), the straps were sensibly wide enough to cover my bra straps - I loved the dress just right for hot days. While I’d been trying on my dress the weather had changed to sunny, so I slipped on some cream/navy striped espadrilles and went outside in the back garden to take a couple of photos. When I came in I did some washing up leftover from a late breakfast; then when the washing machine had finished (my SO set it going before she went out), I took out the towels and hung them on the airers round the house. It was so nice to do some day-to-day household things while wearing my new dress.
With the ‘chores’ done I changed into my second new dress - a midi sleeved one in navy with white geometric pattern - it really suits me ( I saw it online and had to have it 🙂 ). I put on some navy flats and got ready to go out. I went out for a short walk to the nearest greenspace - a few minutes away, took a couple of photos and then wandered back home. So. lovely to be out walking in my new dress.
Session 2
Lovely warm weather, not to be wasted; so when I arrived home I got ready to go out. I settled on an outfit I bought a month or so ago - a stone-washed denim skirt with a sleeveless white embroidered blouse plus some navy canvas shoes.
I set out from the house and headed up towards the main road through the housing estate, crossed over the road and then along a side road to see the house where I lived nearly 40years ago. I had shared a house with some work colleagues. It certainly had changed, the outside had been modernised and it looked very nice. I walked a small way back down the road and into the adjacent green space, it has a shady walk in the trees to keep out of the heat of the sun. I saw some lovely butterflies where the wooded area met the open ground. After that I crossed the main road using the pedestrian crossing and went back home. Once home, I cooled off with a cool drink while I tried to identify in a booklet the butterflies I had seen. I had such a lovely time.
Alicen, thank you for sharing. I think you must have looked so cute in your new dresses. When I am wearing my summer dresses, I always have one a strapless bra. So much better as I don't have to sorrry about the straps showing. Hugs and kisses Yvette
