Yesterday was my 79th birthday, I am lucky now that I have always looked younger than my age. Anyway I am in the process of coming out of the closet and slowly telling friends of my situation. Last night I was invited out by a married couple who are good friends who I think might have guessed my CDing. We were going to an well know Indian restaurant so I dressed en fen except for my shoes as with size 12 (US13) feet what else can a girl do? So I donned my cord leggings, long sleeved T-shirt and wool short sleeved top, with ear rings and some make up. Once seated in the restaurant I advised them of my CD side to which they smiled and said they had already guessed and it was fine with them. We spent the rest of the evening discussing nail varnish, make up and clothes - it was lovely I felt at home with myself and as of today the closet door has been taken off the hinges.

Happy Birthday and many more.
That is wonderful that your friends are so accepting and that the door is off the hinges. Wishing you continued enjoyment as you reveal yourself to others.
XOXO

Happy Birthday for yesterday Rhandi and how nice of your friends to be so accepting of you. I also love the well chosen phrase 'closet door taken off its hinges.' Hugs Lizzy
What a wonderful Birthday with accepting friends. It can only go up from there.
Happy Birthday.
I am in the process of [slowly] kicking the closet door down—probably more unscrewing the hinges really. In the last couple of days (during which I have mostly been en femme) I have been seen by a few people while I out walking the dog at twilight. Basically, I was literally caught in the headlights when they were parking their cars. Now if it was just me, walking, I doubt anyone would connect the woman they saw with male me, but I have a dog. She's a white, husky/collie cross who loves everyone and everyone knows her. I think it highly unlikely that the people who saw my dog in their lights didn't assume I was the woman walking her.
Happy 79th. It is obviously never too late to be bashing on the closet door.
