Hi Girls!
So you may have read about the first time Rachelle showed up when my sister did my makeup.
Today was the first time trying it by myself knowing what she taught me.
I didn't get the cover quite right, and far too much foundation, but it the first step.
And another first step - I went across the road 100% en-femme. No mask. After a blizzard. In a long denim skirt with a long rose turtleneck sweater on. If I was a foot shorter, it would have been a sweaterdress. 😀
Chatted with the clerk and was kinda thrilled to unzip my purse with the pink wallet in there to pay for what I wanted.
There was also an asshole in there demanding smokes and even he called me Mame.
<wibble!>
Holy cow!
My hands are shaking and the confidence is up about 1000%!

Exhilarating for sure! So happy for you. I'll never forget my first time out in public and a waiter came around to my side of the table and simply said, "And for your ma'am?". It was like a shot of confidence right in the arm.
@rachelle71 inspiring to read how courageous you are and how much progress you're making! Hope to make a step forward myself tomorrow, having an appointment at a beauty salon for the first time. No makeover, but hope to be initiated in the wondrous world of cosmetics. And, like you, I'll surely face the challenge of applying it myself in the right manner.
