I didn't start fully dressing till my 30's / 40's and even then only went to a limited number of cross dressing events. Then I went into a dormant period of only under dressing or dressing at home. In short, Maureen has lived a "sheltered" life and not been out and about all that much. I am interested in getting out more. but would also like to hear about what many of you girls here consider to have been either your best or worst experience out in the big wide world while all dressed up.
I have never had a bad experience when out en femme. It just is not an issue, at least for rhe last 10-15 years I have been out in public. Prior to that it was just undressing or a few femme items but otherwise drab. All my outings have been fine and uneventfull as they should be. It is still fun, not as nerve racking as it once was.
So far, my experiences have been good, but the VERY best are the ones when I get to go out with friends!
Best experience - Going out dressed.
Worst Experience - Not going out dressed.....
when I was about 18 years old, 1982ish, and going to a tv meeting for the first time, was possibly the worst experience, best experience, going into that meeting.
My best experience was my first night out at The Carrabbas Italian Grill “PRE - Keystone Conference” Dinner last March. It was intense since I did my first own complete makeup until until we finished dinner, we had after-dinner conversation and returned to the hotel. Keystone and Esprit, as I detail in my articles, were two wonderful experiences.
Even my Marilyn xperience (LOL) wasn't bad, so I haven't had any setbacks yet. Maybe because I don't go out much in my homeland. Going out alone can be dangerous, so I am extremely cautious. This is a complicated country, there is a big gap between the discourse and the reality. Young people are more open-minded, but there is still a lot of hostility towards the trans community and you hear horror stories told as if they were a joke.
