For the last 4 days I have been able to go out dressed in my good cloths instead of what society says I have to wear. I have been going shopping and having a ball. I went to some of the shops like Catherine's, Lane Bryant, and Torrid, where I go dressed in my male clothes. Everyone has treated me very well even after they bring up my account and see my name. Well today when I got home from my latest shopping adventure, I was surprised by one of my neighbors while I was still in my car. I had no where to run or hide, so I faced it. The neighbor is transgender female to male, that helped when I lowered the window and she saw me for the first time. I did not know how this was going to play out, she complemented me on how good I looked. I was already floating in the clouds because of the week I was having, this just pushed me over the top. I now know that I do not have to worry about the next time I want to go out. Because I was worried that someone would see me in our complex I had to sneak out late at night and there was no where I could go. This last week I have been sneaking out in the late afternoon so I could go shopping. Today has been a fantastic day.
"Oh my" certainly a moment . Wonderful experience and happy it all worked out. Its something I'm sure is in the mines of many of us here and one never knows when that surprise comes and bits you lol!! thankyou for sharing.
Hi Rebecca....thank you for your happy story!! I am so pleased that you can enjoy your life the way you wish to. We all look forward to hearing more of the "adventures of Rebecca," Till next time.......
Dame Veronica
Glad you enjoyed your day.
Here is to many more !!
We all need experiences like that now Rebecca and thanks for sharing it with us. I too once encountered a cd while shopping in male mode and made a point to tell her how lovely she looked. I am sure I made her day too
Wish I could be as brave as you
I am so happy for you, hope your'e journey continues to evolve. PY.x
I went to a wig shop in male mode the other day and found a wig I liked. After work I got dressed up and put the new wig on and went back to the shop because they had a beautiful human hair wig in the color I like and bought it. The woman that owns the shop did not recognize me but recognized the wig I had bought earlier. When I asked for the other wig she then a step backwards when she recognized my voice and she said I looked beautiful, and said the wig I bought earlier looked good on me. When a woman says you are beautiful makes you feel good. I went out to dinner with my neighbor and her room mate because her room mate wanted to see what I looked like. I have so much more confidents now after everything that has happened. I now get dressed in the middle of the afternoon and just walk out my front door and go shopping without worrying about anything. This is a point I have wanted to get to for a long time. Once I have the money to transition I am not going to have any problem living as a woman for a year.
Something similar happened to me a few years ago. I have a condo with an attached garage. I went out en femme and arrived at home. My garage door opener did work. This required me to exit my vehicle and walk around to the front door of my home. Ran into my neighbor an elderly man name Joe. He asked who I was. I said I was Stephanie (Paul's girlfriend). I explained my predicament about the garage door opener not working. I was so afraid that he recognized me and would tell my other neighbors. A few weeks later I ran into him when I was not en femme. He mentioned that he met my girlfriend and how attractive she was. This made my day!
Hello Rebecca; Thank you for sharing this fantastic story. It's great that you're pushing your public outings. I think it's incredible that you found an ally from the opposite side of the transgender spectrum. I MEAN NO DISRESPECT TO THAT PERSON IN MY CHOICE OF WORDING. Your neighbor living their life as a FTM is just as inspiring as anyone else being MTF or being a CD.
Rebecca, congrats on shopping for your wigs. It's great you had such a positive response from the owner. You said you went to dinner with your neighbor and her girlfriend. I assume it was the FTM neighbor that surprised you in your main post, if so that's awesome. I realize you posted this a year ago, have you begun your transition since then? I wonder if you've posted any updates, would love to hear more of your journey.
Shopping can be a great, wonderful and exciting experience. It seems there is many stores that recognize a market in those like us. Interesting experience with the FTM.
If the only thing stopping you is *you* then just go for it.
(Obviously if there are mitigating personal circumstances, obviously it needs to be thought through. But if there's nothing stopping you going out how you want to be aside from that nagging voice that tells you you shouldn't, you should tell that voice to fuck right off, and get out there! 🙂 )
