My wife is OK with my crossdressing - she bought me my first girls clothes - a couple of miniskirts and a couple of blouses. My son does not like my crossdressing . He prefers not to see me dressed.
However, we are a naturist family and have been since we were married (40 years ago).
Weirdly My son is perfectly OK with me walking around underdressed - stockings, suspenders, knickers (thongs) bras under a t-shirt and 3 inch heels.
What he does not know is that all my trousers are female ( i can fit skinny size 14) and all my tshirts are female.

@ayla

I don't think I've seen unacceptance like this before.  Usually, it's the other way around.  The wife/GF/family doesn't want to see lingerie but is okay with outer garments such as women's jeans and tops.

I suppose you could ask your son why he feels the way he does.

In any event, being able to freely go about the house in lingerie and heels is pretty cool.  Having a supportive spouse is huge!  I'm happy for you!

@lizk It's strange. When i first came out as a crossdresser to my son he basically said "I don't want to see you in a skirt or dress".
I think the fact that we are a naturist family & are used to all 3 of us being naked around the house sometimes 24 x 7 may have lead him to accept lingerie but a dress might make him feel too uncomfortable.

@ayla This is one benefit of choosing an androgynous style, as I do. It can allow the CD to still wear women's clothing more often without raising eyebrows.

Well, at least most of the time. The further away from ubiquitous crew-neck T-shirts, jeans and underdressing, the easier it is to get clocked. Breast forms will draw more attention than just hip and butt pads. Shoe styles can be a clear giveaway, too.

Depends on just how far the CD wants to push, or is allowed to push, her boundaries.

@ayla how old is your son? From 9 to 14 most children have a "model dream" phase. Its a desire for everything around them to be average and what the society deems "normal". I think its important to sit down and explain him why you walk around like that and how it makes you feel. Make it a learning moment. Im sorry if im comming on to strong. I love this subject.

In any case dont forget to shine and be your awesome self! And don't let anyone hold you back.

@crazycynthia My son is 32 - he works from home so I'm happy about his limited acceptance. He volunteers at a charity once a week for an afternoon so i have a "slot" where i can fully dress.

@ayla ok, first of all, you look awesome for someone with a 32 year old son!

Second, he sounds like a good guy charity and all. I geuss dressing in that slot doesnt hurt if it makes him feel better. As long as you dont feel you need to hide.

@crazycynthia Thank you but it's mostly faceapp although talking with one of my clients a couple of weeks ago he thought i was about 20 years younger than i actually am.
I suppose it's having all of my head hair that i wear really long - faceapp does not add to it.

I think it's so cool that your wife is so supportive of you.  Do you know what is the cause for your son's resistance?

Is it possible that he knows you are wearing women's pants and t-shirts, but he sees them as a masculine attire and can handle that?
