A few weeks ago, on 2 January to be precise, I made my 200th post (entitled "Ducks") here on CDH. In that post I announced my New Year's Resolution, to keep a tally of the number of hours I spend dressed in 2024.

The post you are now reading is my 600th, so I thought it would be an appropriate one in which to provide an update on my progress. Because everyone loves stats, right?

I feel I should mention at this point that my opportunities are infrequent and generally rather short, so these hours are quite precious to me.

Here, then (according to my purpose-built spreadsheet), are the stats so far:

Weekly Objective: 3 hours

Number of weeks elapsed: 6

  • Earliest dressing date: 2 January 2024
  • Most recent dressing date: 8 February 2024
  • Number of dates which have included some dressing time: 9
  • Longest individual dressing period: 8 hours (see note 1)
  • Shortest individual dressing period: 1 hour 30 minutes (see note 2)
  • Longest period of days between dressing: 12
  • Total amount of time spent dressed to date: 23 hours 20 minutes
  • Variance against objective: +5 hours 20 minutes

Note 1: My wonderful trip to Leeds, recounted in Larks Among the Loiners

Note 2: My aborted trip to a local pub, recounted in Cold Feet

There you have it. I'm slightly ahead of my target, which is nice. And, all being well, my next opportunity will see me passing the 24 hour mark.

Love it, I'm a spreadsheet sort of gal too.

It's great that you're ahead of schedule. I still think you'll hit the year's target by the summer.

After our recent discussion on boxes, you'll appreciate that my spreadsheets are driven towards what's actually in the boxes.

I did try and keep a track of what was in each box, but as you might expect, that lasted for about 2 days.

Lucy xx

Summer still seems a slight stretch (Try saying that after a couple of glasses of Pinot Grigio), but you never know...

I remember our convo about your boxes very well. I imagine it boils down to one of two things; whether you're a strict "a box for everything and everything in its box) girl, or an "Any old box in a storm" girl!

I’m not sure I could say it when sober!

As for the boxes, well I set out with the intention of being the first, but quickly de-generated into the second 🙂

@lucyb112 what a concept, tracking hours dressed in a spreadsheet! Would undies only time count? I’m wearing knee high stockings, panties (approved by my wife), and a camisole.

@jacquelinelarkspur Such a great way to make your CD time work for you. Setting goals and objectives can be such a rewarding experience.  I go somewhat differently, but to each their own.

So long as you don't have a mallardy or anything gets your gander up you should reach your target easily. Good luck M'Duck....

You lot would make a "Kookaburra" laugh and want to "duck" his head in a billabong

Caty.

NB For those that do not know "kookas" have a call like a laugh

Thanks, Caty.

I don't know about @melodeescarlet, but I feel confident that both @ellyd22 and I studied Australian wildlife in our youth.

@jacquelinelarkspur Actually (genuinely), I went to primary school near Perth in Western Australia. I was a pupil at Kelmscott Primary.

My family were 'ten pound tourists'. Skippy, for me, was a local.

'Music' lessons at primary school:

'Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree-ee

Merry merry king of the bush is he-ee

Laugh, Kookaburra

Laugh, Kookaburra

Gay your life must be'

Ah... Ellie D,

I remember that ditty too...

Gay "kookas" who'da  thunk it

So you were a  temporary "Sandgroper" (ok not a bird species, but it sounds like one). It's what we "Wise Men From The East" call Western Australians. They in turn use it as a VERY derogatory term for anyone east of the Western Australia/South Australian border. Tho mostly from Victoria and NSW.

Back in my work days I made sure as as "the company rep" I kept Perth as my "territory". (Except in the interminable 40' summer days).

Ah the beaches, the lifestyle, the lingerie shops where no one knew me and I could still pay in Aus$$

The weekends at the wineries down in Margaret River.

Still have about 25% of my OZ wine collection from "Maggie River".

I/bis surprised your family decided to go back to Pommieland.

Caty.
