I have been en fem on a daily basis for awhile now and have decided to tell my family that I am living as a woman and that is how I have always wanted to be. I dressed as Denise and told everyone that my name is Denise and this is how I have been presenting myself. It was hard to do it but I had always wanted to do it. They weren't upset or anything and actually showed support for me. They told me I looked beautiful and my mom was giving me some tips on my makeup. I thought it was really neat. I told them this is how I have always wanted to be and I am happy as Denise. I had asked my mom awhile back what she would have named me as a girl and she told me she liked Denise and I said that sounds lovely.

We went out to eat and I went out as Denise with my family to eat as well. This really made me feel good and now I feel like my life is complete I can be Denise 24 hours a day without having to change anything.

@river Thank you so much. I'm so happy right now it's such a good feeling to be a woman and now to be acknowledged as one by my family makes me feel even better. I'm so happy I did this.

@denisemichelle1979 Congratulations Denise.  I know it took a lot of courage but you did it.  Now you are free to be you, what a “freeing” feeling for you.

I am glad that it all went well, Denise.

It almost sounds as if it wasn't a surprise to them.

@harriette I know it.  It seems like they knew all along but just had to come out and tell them. It felt so good to hear them calling me Denise especially when we went out to eat.

Love conquers all, and the family love is obvious.  I have heard many acceptive  mother stories, the strongest family love .  Mine passed 15 years before I came out, and regret not telling her.

@missylinda I was happy to be able to tell them and now I feel as I can go about my day as a woman all day, every day. And now I can do things a little differently now that I don't need to hide anything.

@denisemichelle1979 I envy your life as female in many ways.  It makes life somewhat more simple.  I am not yet ready to give up my masculine world entirely so I am content to experience both.  Enjoy your world!🤗

@missylinda it makes it a lot easier to be seen as a female now that I have cleared this hurdle. I'm happier now and loved how my mom was giving me makeup tips it was like she was ready to help me out. I was bored in my masculine world so I thought about how I could be a woman all the time and that'd be more fun.

@ab123 Yes that is the best part. Now I feel like I can go anywhere and not worry about anything. I'm a lot happier and feel like I'm who I really am now. I'm thinking about getting my name changed to Denise. I love signing my name as Denise.

Fortunately, a large part of the world is now aware that trans people exist and that it is somewhat common. Once people start seeing or reading about something the easier it is to accept.

Ten or twenty years ago few people were very aware of trans issues, now they are in the news daily.
