I took another big step out in public this past Thursday. My wife and I had tickets to a drag show (yes, again!) and I decided I was going to let Chloé out of the house a bit more.
We planned dinner before the show in an LGBTQ+ friendly neighborhood and then it was a short drive to the show.
She said I could wear whatever I liked, including makeup so I picked out a new pleated leather skirt and heels. It is asymmetrical and about ankle length so of course I had to wear hose! I was going to wear pantyhose but then decided to spice things up and went with a garter belt and stockings, since the garters wouldn't be visible under the skirt. Matching black panties (over the garter for ease of bathroom situations) and a bralette and I was nearly there.
I don't have a lot of tops that I could wear out of the house so I tried out a black & grey sweater that was stylish and gender-neutral but it ended up being too hot for me. My wife dug into her closet and came out with one of her black sweaters with a subtle cutout pattern on the front that was so pretty. She said "try this, I think it'll work on you" and she was right! It made the whole outfit and fit perfectly.
I'll take a second here to acknowledge how AMAZING my wife is and how much I appreciated that she would even consider giving me some of her clothes to wear out. I was blown away and it made the entire night even better.
I put on some eyeshadow and mascara and we were off to dinner.
Now, I've been out in public once in heels but this time I was fully en femme aside from a wig and full makeup. So I was pretty nervous parking the car (in heels!) and then walking into the restaurant. She took my arm an we strolled through the door and were seated immediately. There were a couple looks, including our server, who checked me up and down and smiled.
Dinner was great and after a cocktail, all the nerves were gone and I was loving being out there and feeling like a million bucks. I had one trip to the restroom (gender neutral) and confidently stomped across the room in my heels, feeling the sway of my skirt against my stocking-clad legs. It was heaven.
The rest of the evening was great and I even got a complement about my shoes while in the men's room. "Honey, those shoes are everything" from a nice guy at the sink next to me. I said "thank you, I appreciate that" in almost a girly squeal while I checked my makeup before heading back to the show.
Amazing time that I wanted to share. I also wanted to thank some of the ladies from the chat here that helped me with the confidence to step out like this. CDH is the best!

Wonderful times shared with your bestie, congrats on a beautiful night. A wonderful wife I must say and an evening enjoyed by a girls night out, perfect..🌷
Yes, it was a lovely evening out with my bestie!
Chloe, I am sooooo happy for you!!! It’s sounds like an amazing time. And as the other have said, your wife is a gem! Cherish her.
And I’m envious of your heels, walking in them, as I’ve got one bad ankle that is simply not strong enough. So I’ll walk vicariously with you with every “click, click, click”…!!!
Hugs,
Jules

Chloe, it sounds like a magical evening! So happy for you and your wife, who btw is a precious gem!
Since my left weak ankle doesn’t allow me heels, other than low wedges, I’ll walk vicariously with you “click, by click, by click”, dear!

Wow! what an awesome relationship you have! Congratulations on such a fantastic, successful night out.
Sharing clothes sounds wonderful.
Well done Chloe. It makes it so much easier when you have your wife on side. An enjoyable evening that you will no doubt do again.
We do plan to have a mani/pedi date out but I don't think I'll get dressed up for that, at least not the first time.
She's a keeper for sure!

Others have said it, but I'll repeat - you are so very lucky to have a supportive wife.
Make the most of it!
