I don't have any good pantyhose experiences because I don't like pantyhose.
I am a stocking wearer, with or without garters. I do not buy any particular brand, just whatever is available when I need to buy them. Black or various shades of nude, but I do occasionally buy patterned stockings in black.
Wow, I missed out when I was younger. I see a lot of you girls started at a very early age. Mine didn’t occur until my 30s. I remember it clearly. I found a pair of the spouse’s pantyhose discarded in the bathroom trash. I was home alone and honestly don’t know what drove me to them, but decided to try them on and see how they felt. They were too small for me, but I managed to squeeze into them. I couldn’t believe how wonderful they felt. Hugging me from my upper stomach to my feet. The were the catalyst that has brought me to where I am today. I knew I couldn’t stop at just lingerie and I have progressed to full femme and it just feels right to me. Mostly now my hose of choice are leggs suntan sheer panty pantyhose. I’d certainly welcome any input on what else to try. I wear queen plus ( I’m a big girl…6’3”), so size recommendations are welcome too. 🩷
I’m going back a little but when Legg’s pantyhose first came out they were sold in white plastic eggs hence the name. I can remember my mother buying them and me secretly putting them on. Years later when I bought my first pair , I can’t remember the brand but I do remember putting them on and not very carefully. So not only where they my first pair but I also got my first nylon run! My favorite brand is Haines Silk Reflection. I love how smooth they make my legs look and feel

I'm like Peggy Sue, old enough to remember when pantyhose were a new fashion item. I recall seeing female comediennes joke about putting pantyhose on - the waist was up to your boobs but the crotch was still down by your kneecaps, LOL I used to wear my sisters Pretty Polly Stayups when dressing while still in high school. After I moved out on my own and started acquiring my own feminine wardrobe, I discovered Queen Size Sandalfoot Leggs in Black or a color called Ecru.
Now I wear pantyhose or tights everyday, made here in Canada by a company called Sheertex. They are made with a ballistic fabric and are totally resistant to snags and runs, the crotch doesn't blow out and they're toenail proof as well! My favorite color has always been black.
Hugs girls,

Well, I blame my step-mother... I grew up on a farm in northern Illinois and the winters were very cold. I hated wearing long thermal underwear because as I moved around feeding cattle and such, they would constantly work their way up my calf to my knees...
I was complaining about the long underwear to my step-mother, and she tossed a pair of support pantyhose at me and said "try these"... I was hooked. I would say I was about 10 years old.
she worked in an office environment and was always wearing pantyhose. and growing up in the 80's, my two step-sisters were always wearing pantyhose as well. I remember one day being home alone and I went exploring in their room and found in the closet a small garbage bag completely full of pantyhose, in pretty much every color of the rainbow. Yeah, I had fun exploring thru that bag...
I still to this day wear support hose on pretty much a daily basis since I suffer from leg discomfort due to being type 2 diabetic. They really do help with the discomfort. I don't get to "change" very often since my mother is currently living with myself and my wife. And my wife is perfectly fine with it. She just doesn't like me "getting dressed up" more than once or twice a week.
And I don't do makeup and I do maintain facial hair, so If I do post any pictures I am looking away from the camera.
I never thought I would like pantyhose. I only had garter belts and stockings or stay up stockings. About 2 months ago I tried pantyhose (Sheer) and loved them. Now I have several pairs and a few crotchless (easier for bathrooms and underdressing). Found a new thrill and I can wear them under my everyday clothing. Love the feeling. Sheer are my favorite. I have many stockings and pantyhose and a variety of colors (black, brown and sheer). - Traci
I don't remember when I started but I recall trying on pantyhose when I was fairly young and just loving it. I didn't graduate to semi-serious CDing until much later but during all that time I always wondered about what it would be like to wear a dress and heels. Since I'm a rather large gal I have to take what I can find, usually on Amazon. Very hit or miss.
I remember being fascinated with women’s and girl’s legs in stockings and tights when I was little. It was a school play when I was around 5. We dressed up as leprechauns and had to wear green tights. When I got them I put them on immediately and pranced around the house, thrilled by how they felt and looked. My two older brothers returned home sooner than I expected, or I had completely lost track of time in my euphoria. They laughed and shamed me for wearing tights.
I don’t remember the play or what happened to the tights but I never lost my love of stockings and tights and would continue to furtively wear them when I had an opportunity. I have a large collection of stockings and tights in many colours, textures, densities and patterns. It’s difficult to pick a favourite. I wear the style I feel like wearing in the moment, often basing my attire on my tights. My favourite is a satiny, shiny Wolford pair in translucent gray. Otherwise I buy what takes my fancy. Strangely, I don’t have any nude or tan sheer pantyhose but they are on my list…
My first was a pair of nude 20 denier tights, and when I tried them on I was devastated to realise that they didn't hide leg hair in the slightest! How naive- the things you don't realise when you're starting out! Thankfully I soon found that 300 denier winter tights did the job perfectly and were plentiful in shops in the winter.
I have never liked pantyhose, either wearing them.myself or if my GFs or my wife wore them. I am.a stocking gal. So the one time I do remember, and was probably my first time.was.on a rafting trip
It was cold oit and the water temp.was also.very cold so.we.wore.wetsuots, but somebody suggested wearing pantyhose under the wetsuit to help.stay warmer. It was great fun standing around with about twenty friends, male and female all slipping into.pantyhose at the riverside.
I have worn hose a few times times since. Twice in London when I.needed stockimgs at the.last minuye and the drugstore at St. Pancrase syation only had hose, and occasionally when skiing when I wanted a touch of extra warmth, but not full thermals (actually, I.wear yoga capris under my ski pants.)
First time was my sisters tan pair of Legg's pantyhose. Now I like all colors of pantyhose but I think I prefer black
A pair of my sister's tights when I was about 14. They were green and ribbed. These days I've a huge weakness for buying tights, I have lots of them, from nude 15 dernier to thick black 120 dernier. I favour pale colours, but try to coordinate tights and dress. I prefer tights to stockings. Not a fan of fishnets.
Oh my god - do I have an obsession with tights?!!! The cobwebby softness of them - especially with shaved legs is just dreamy!
Like many of you girls, for me, mum’s tights were my way in and they remain top of the vitals for my dressing. Aged 3 or 4 in the early seventies, I ventured into mum’s underwear drawers and found myself a pair of American tan sheer tights - they we’re fairly ubiquitous back then - and managed to somehow get them on. Soon after, I discarded them and didn’t have the understanding that I was doing anything ‘wrong’ - it is interesting that even at that age, I was conscious enough about gender differences to do this under the cover of nighttime! I do not remember the aftermath but obviously mum will have discovered her tights just left there.
Aged about 7, I had a ‘girlfriend’ called Alison - I was troubled but fascinated by her clothes- especially her black opaque legs and the little pleated skirt she wore: troubled because I couldn’t really understand why she was dressed like that but I wasn’t. In a pervasively masculine home ( where I had been mocked by dad for playing with girls and horror-of-horror, caught holding my mum’s bikini top to my chest) I knew not to pursue the strange compulsion of my little girlfriend’s clothes.
As I stated - now tights are my obsession: I have drawers full of them: every day sheers; coloured opaques and sheers; patterned coloured; underdressing high denier opaques for work and times when I have time in drab, old tights for gardening. I have never counted - but would be horrified by the amount if I did ( I say “horrified” with a smile on my face - a reason to celebrate and buy more - especially when I consider the boxes and boxes of spares I have … and this is as well as the stockings, hold-ups, knee highs that I also have ( i do find stockings and suspenders to be very visually sexy but prefer the functionality of tights - and love the thrill of seeing knickers under the reinforced gussets.)
I wear daily - taking any opportunity I can! Normally getting home involves the opaques coming off and the sheers going on. Even now, I am up early waiting for the sun to have a long, long run and I am wearing tights: I do have male ‘running tights’ but eschew them in favour of 70 denier black women’s tights: why have cotton when you can have silk!!! I love the fact that i can wear these publicly without anyone giving me a second look.
So, if they’re tights, I love em! But my go-to tights are black, 10 denier. I have boxes and boxes of them (they easily click and ladder as you’ll know but that’s fine- it gives me an excuse to always buy more backups… and the buying is part of the thrill of course!) With my legs shaved (pretty much a daily occurrence to keep on top of the stubble), exfoliated and moisturised, with nails painted (red is an obvious but still delicious colour of choice) I look down to see my female legs and still, after all these years, find it difficult to believe that those are mine! Slipping the reinforced toes into a pretty shoe and feeling the swish of a skirt or dress adds to the impact of course but it is always the tights that are the absolute pinnacle of the dressing experience for me.
(My wife laughs at my obsession (kindly) and will borrow mine when she needs them - something which sounds great but when they return to me, they are usually clicked to hell … so the idea is better than the reality! For the main part, she’s in opaque tights but normally goes for socks or knee- highs: I tell her that she is mad to waste the opportunity she has … but she just doesn’t have that pleasure that I get: hosiery for her is just functional!)
I could go on for a very long time here and it does give me an inordinate amount of pleasure sharing this with you… but now the sun is coming and I’ve running to do!
(My first proper post here by the way!)

Silky Toes in suntan are my go-to. I buy them in packs of four or six, if possible. They're so soft and comfortable and smooth – everything I imagined that pantyhose would feel like when I saw women wearing them as a kid. I will cry if the company ever goes out of business.
I also like the Comfort Choice sheer tights through Woman Within, although their sizing isn't as ideal around the waist.
I was 17 or so when I first experimented. My mom, who worked in an office, left a mostly intact pair of everyday L'eggs or No Nonsense in the bathroom wastebasket after she got a run in them shortly after taking them out of the package. For a week before she emptied that wastebasket, I’d lock the bathroom door and pull the nylon over one foot for a few seconds, just to see what it was like. Then I'd feel a rush of shame and embarrassment and get out of there, only to come back and do it again the next night. Occasionally I did the same with some older, faded pantyhose in a utility drawer in our basement that were used as lint traps for the washing machine.
It was another six or seven years, not long after college, before I went on eBay and bought my first pair of pantyhose for myself: the Peavey kind that Hooters waitresses wear. This was also the first pair I pulled all the way up. They were more coarse than silky, so not only was I still ashamed of putting them on, but it wasn't nearly as satisfying a sensation as I was expecting. It was another several years before I tried again with something softer and felt secure enough to keep them on for a while, wear them under my work clothes, sleep in them, etc.
I was in the third or fourth grade when I wore a pair of red leotards (tights as there called today) in a school play, I played an elf. The rest is history, I've been hooked on them ever since.
