Hello hello everyone. Hope you all are in good health and doing well overall. I haven’t been on CDH lately due to work (60+hours a week). I’m still here and haven’t gone away lol. I wanna share a story that happened to me last Saturday.

I was invited to a Halloween party and planned on dressing over there. The costume I had I thought best not to wear it over because it’s VERY revealing. it was a school girls uniform and consisted of a white button up shirt with red plaid colored edges on the sleeves and a VERY VERY short skirt that was red with a plaid pattern. I just wore a white bralette and white panties. I also work black thigh highs and black flats. You could see the bottoms of my butt cheeks lol and that’s why I dressed over there!  I just put on my maroon with shite polka dotted dress and got all made up with makeup.

Going out to the car I realized I forgot my low heel pumps that I might wear. So off I went marching back to my apartment and in walking back passed by this kid, probably around 14-15. I said hello and he just stared at me. I got my pumps a d locked the door and headed back to my car. About 50 feet away I saw the kid again and this time he was around 5 of his little friends.

They yelled “you look sexy sir” and “we know you’re a guy”, “lift up that dress and let’s see”and some other hateful comments that I won’t mention here. I just smiled and said have a nice night and walked right by them.  Those kids I see when I come home and walk to my apartment. The name calls haven’t stopped either 🤷‍♂️ .

This world is full of hate and most likely it won’t go away. I ended up having a great night at the Halloween party (everyone there knows I crossdress) and they loved my school girl costume.  Don’t let others get you down girls, you’re better than that and you all are beautiful.

XOXO 😘

Hi Paula,

Good for you for not letting the harassing name calling get to you!  Name calling can hurt  but only if you allow it.  So glad to hear you enjoyed the Halloween party.

Paula, thank you so much for sharing this. I’m a few years older than you but only recently came out of the closet and more recently began going out in public. What happened to you is one of my biggest fears. I already carry so much internal baggage about my “affliction” of being a cross dresser. Having that happen would just feed my self-doubt. Thank you for being strong for us all!

Geena 😊

These are the kind of incidents we all dread. The fact you faced them down and did not respond was a good thing. Maybe they will get bored, At least you had a good night out.

Sorry you had a bad encounter with those kids. Those types of things bother me and make me a little apprehensive  about going out in public.  Anyway glad you had a good time at the party.

Hugs, Liara

I am happy you had fun. So many of our youth are apparently raised without any regard for others feeling and show a lack of respect. I know that is probably not the norm. After all my grandchildren are perfect. I bet your children and grandchildren are too. I guess you have to just ignore them. Like I do my ex wife. Little ba..ers

Sorry you had to go through this, Paula.

In Canada our Human Rights Code was amended recently to include gender identity and gender expression to protect the trans/CD community. Any acts of hate, whether physical or verbal, is now punishable under our Criminal Code.

But, that don't mean a thing, does it?

I'll continue to be cautious outdoors despite what the law says.

Hugs,

Barb

Sorry had to have those comments from those younger kids. Happy had a good time at the party. Best to ignore all those kinds of comments and just walk away. Imagine will not be the first time. Don't let any thier comments stop you from doing what do best and makes you feel good.

Hugs
Donna

You’re right that it doesn’t mean a damm thing, but at least it’s there. I’m always careful when I go out but this happened at my apartment complex. They’re young uninformed misinformed and ignorant. They need to grow up and learn tolerance because the world is changing fast.

Yes had a wonderful time. When I go out dressed I focus on what I need to do, don’t waste time and plan my day and just do it. It’s almost like an actor or actress doing a nude scene. They zone out with what’s around them and that’s when they’re comfortable, same goes for me.

Yes indeed I had a great night. They will learn that they can’t go through life with hatred comments like that or else they’ll learn what it’s like being lonely

Don’t let it feed your self doubts. What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger. They are just jealous because we look good lol
