Hi girls. Well I’m reporting in. After my last article (fork in the road) I’ve ventured out twice. First I want to thank everyone that took the time to read it and special thanks to all the girls that responded. I read every one and tried to reply to all. So my week alone at the lake went fairly well. The camp ground was a bit crowded (Coeur d Alene) in August to be expected. I had all my girl “stuff” (brought way to much). I managed to venture about the camp ground dressed but not fully. No wig make up just shorts and a plain top. Underdressed of course. Then came the day I planned to go out. Well I choose to go to Walmart. Big mistake. I was so nervous that I rushed in and out. Did not enjoy it. But I did it! I learned a lot about myself and my relationship with my wife that week. What I discovered is that while I love to dress when I can, I love my wife and family more. So the road I’m taking is this: My wife knows I like women’s clothes. She puts up with my occasional dressing at home. No wigs , no skirts or dresses. I do under dress a few times a week with her home.
I am continuing to get out once in a while. Today was my second day trip totally dressed. OMG, it took me two hours to get ready. I wore white capris with a light see through long sleeve blouse , cami under of course and wedge sandles. I must admit I looked pretty good! I took a drive to a nearby town. I wasn’t nervous at all. I had planned to go to a thrift shop but took the wrong turn. Had to us the ladies room. So I stop at a nice park on the river, used the ladies and sat in the park for a few minutes. Lots of traffic and a few folks but I did it! Thank you to all of my wonderful girl friends at CDH.

Billie, it may seem small but any step to put you out there is a step that makes the next one easier. i know for me, I went to Wal-Mart totally dressed in fem but couldn't work up the nerve even to get out of the car. Now 2 weeks ago I went to another town nearby and spent 2 full days in fem. Went shopping target twice, Khols,went Malling and to a bar first time in fem. Oh and I arranged for my niece and I to get a mani/peti. It is getting so much easier.

The first step is hardest - but then after that there will never be a "first step" again! Confidence will grow, you will enjoy it more. BTW - Coeur d'Alene??? I'm in Spokane! (just sayin')
Happy to hear that you got out. Any outing is an adventure for us and each time it builds confidence. CD's in general are brave risk takers and its so fulfilling when we do get out. I hope you're planning the next outing soon. Have fun!

Good for you honey.It does get easier getting out and the aftermath is so satisfying and exciting. Why do we girls do it? Because it is something we have to do.
