Just wanted to share some of my week. On Tuesday I was requested to drop my granddaughter off at school and pick her up after so that my daughter could work and not take any more vacation time. I dropped her off at 8:45 and picked her up just after noon. The teacher had no problem with how I presented myself, I think my daughter told them that her dad was going to pick up the little girl and how I would be presented myself.
A few days later my daughter asked if I could pick the granddaughter up from school again. Because it was cold and I didn't have a key to the apartment I took her to the local library. While we were there a boy from her class came in with his mother. The mother asked me if I were Ann's grandmother. I hesitated a little then responded 'Ann is my granddaughter '.
By responding this way I didn't say I was a female but didn't say I was a male CD. Apparently I 'pass ' at first glance. Kinda made my day.

Well done Cassie. I say that because I regularly drive my eldest granddaughter to her school and have received the same questions, and have never felt it a lie to say that she is my granddaughter, allowing them to assume the rest.
