Tomorrow is my birthday so today I had my first hair coloring apt. This was my first time out in feminine mode reacting with people one on one. Before the apt. I went into Target to purchace some nail polish witch I applied to my toenails ( 2 different shades of pink, alternating colors on the toes ). Before I went in I had a huge knot in my gut. The Ulta that I went to couldn't have been better. Sherie was so helpful, answering all my questions and explaining the process. She helped pick out shampoo and conditioner. It was a pleasant morning, and the girls at the checkout told me my hair looked pretty.
Afterward I stopped at Torrid, Rue 21, Old Navy and Clair's. I didn't purchase any thing the joy of the moment was gone, I was all by myself. But I was not uncomfortable looking though all the clothes, did come close to buying a couple of dresses and then a couple of blouses. The joy was not there, I wish I would have had some one along to share my day with.
It was a good day overall I got though it all with no embarrassment, no discomfort. I even stopped for groceries on the way home, not the store I usually go to,but the one across town. My niece lives 4 blocks from this store, but I figured she would not recognized me in fem and a mask. Now it's time to plan the next in fem shopping trip.

I have been using my own hair when I go out for a long time. For years I couldn't grow my hair long because of my job. I love going to my hairdresser. We talk away as she does wonders with my hair. Life is short enjoy it !
