I recently spent 2 weeks in Tennessee with a very close and special friend. I created a lot of memories that I will never forget. It was the most fun, heartfelt and exciting 2 weeks of my life. We tried to do something special together each day I was there. I had the most fun shopping, dining out and attending church functions with her that I have ever had. In that 2 weeks I fell in love. She would respond to my constant inquiries of "Why do you love me so much?", by smiling and saying " because you get me".
@wendiecross I have one fairly close crossdressing friend who I see several times a week, communicate with a few more, but there's no one like me for sure. We're all unique, and one thing for sure, I've never been accused of being normal. I was even given a button by co-workers years ago that says "Not Normal" I still have it to this day.
@wendiecross have my group of besties, but sadly all over the country so only see maybe 3 or 4 times a year.
I have never been, as you say, " out with the girls". When I do get the courage to do so I hope the first girl I go out with is you.

I've been out countless times since I met my first CD/TG friend 4+ years ago. It's been one of the most fulfilling benefits of being on CDH.

@emilyalt Oh you are so right about it being so fulfilling. This year has been one of great change for me as I've become more and more Jennifer, and about 6 months ago a male friend finally pried me out of my house and took me to a Mexican restaurant, mind blowing but so fulfilling. Just a few days ago a man took me to a Hilton Garden, walked me into the lounge where we sat and had a couple beverages while we got to know each other. It was fantastic, nobody acted like I was anything but a woman. Cross dressing at home, alone, in private is one thing, and it takes quite a lot to actually step out of our comfort zone, but OMG, once you do, and you see that it's not nearly as bad as you thought it was going to be, that it's not like it was decades ago, at least within the cities, out in the country older thinking still rules, but in cosmopolitan areas it seems people have come to not think anything about it any more, it's so confident boosting, fulfilling, like we've reached a new level in our development. It's almost impossible to put into words the feeling.

@jenniferr It is a wonderful feeling to be out doing normal people things while dressed. You might consider going to Keystone Conference this next March. Its just up the road from you in PA.
Same here Emily. I waited a long time to have the most rewarding experience of being a CDH member.
Several years ago I went to a club with a group of girls that had been organized by Hannah McKnight. It was a wonderful fun evening!

Plenty of times. The woman who did my first makeover had many parties in her home where I met other crossdressers, transgendered women, and supporters. We even did a number of events out of her home.
I go to a support group with others 10 months a year.
I've been out to dinners with both small and large groups (and am having one this weekend).
I've been to two different conferences where there are hundreds of people.

I don't have any CD/Trans people who I would call friends specifically. I have been to organized group outings and meetups with other girls like me and enjoyed it very much.
Depends how you define "out", I've done two CD conventions, (alas no more) and had CD friends with me. (Sadly no more x2). I'm too old, and the conventions and the friends are too far away
On a personal level, I "chaperoned"a dear CD friend out for her first times two times in public and hope to do it again mid year next year for her first en femme bra fitting. ( I hope to do my 3rd) Another occasion we did not "go out" but met somewhere "private".
Disclaimer.. The first time I was not dressed and we just went to a Subway to get some lunch.

Last summer, I met a girlfriend who I corresponded with here on cdh. I cannot find the words to describe how good it felt just to be ME! And I’m sure she felt the same way. For once, I didn’t have to pretend to be the male I’ve grown so used to portraying and could be the most truthful representation of myself without putting up walls, feeling awkward or uncomfortable. She was a godsend and I’ll always remember how good it felt to be honest about my femininity.
Hello Wendie, Yes, I have been out with 2 or 3 crossdressers in the last year, only for a day or too. But this year I have meet a lovely lady who I have been out with quite a few times now, we have become good friends. We go out together (fully dressed) a few times a week now, shopping/etc & hopefully next year may go on holiday together. love Helenmarie
