My older sis and her friend Stephanie named me the day they put that first dress and panties on me when I was 5.  Sis knew a girl in school named Paula, so they just added the last 'a' and the name has stuck, and I think they were right, way back then.

Love,

Paula

Hi Danielle.  I picked Rachel because I loved how beautiful the name is & due to Rachael Ray.  Williams, being my drab middle name, minus the S.  I even picked my middle name, Karana, from one of my favorite novels as a kid, "Island Of The Blue Dolphins" by Scott O'Dell.  I found the name to be beautiful (and besides, what girl doesn't like being a little exotic, hehehe).

Yes I do wonder how some of us came up with her name's cuz it took me a few tries to come up with my name I first started with the name Meadow then I changed it to Anastasia then I changed it to the Greek goddess Persephone then I changed it to the name Keida and then finally I decided to do and change my name to my fraternal twin sisters middle name who passed away from domestic violence back in 2015 to my present name in honor of her. Keilani Simone Johnson is the name I chose. Johnson is my real last name.💋💋

When I was much younger and first beginning to experiment with crossdressing, I discovered some magazines of my father’s that featured Bettie Paige.  I was immediately hooked and have wanted to be her ever since

I've read some classic literature in my time, including Don Quixote. I had to envision the possibility that Don Quixote's fantasy lady love, Dulcinea del Toboso, was really a male in female's clothes. So, I picked Dulcinea (Dulci for short) as my lady name.

Hello Danielle; Thank you for posting this question. I've answered this in another forum post, I'll post my answer here too.

My full fem name is Brittney Diana Andrews(non legal). I have a fondness for the United Kingdom and Great Britain. Brittney is a form of Britain and uses some letters of my real first name. Diana, from Diana Princess of Wales. Lastly, My real last name is of Scots origin. I chose the city of St. Andrews, Scotland to represent my fem last name.

For me I was deciding on either Jessica or Veronica. I liked both of those names, but after a while I started leaning towards Jessica. It was something about the name that I liked and it just stayed with me. So when I started dressing more and more I just started using it. As for the charms part, well um, I think those are noticable in my pictures. But it could also be cause I like talking with people and usually find it charming. But yeah I think the first part is more accurate.

My profile says “you wouldn’t believe me if I told you”.

That’s because Charmagne is the name of an earth bound spirit who has been invading my deep sleep regularly for well over a year, but in a very good way.  She is a sweet, happy little girl who died very young it would seem...maybe 10 or 11.  When she takes over my dreams, we go to her favorite places, especially her school playground.  I recognize many of her friends each time.  They talk to me...to us...and that’s how I’ve learned so much about her.

Sometimes we’re in her neighborhood.  She lived with her mom and her grandpa.  He’s the one who calls us CharChar.  That became part of my handle.  The 1959 is the year I believe she was born.  I’ve heard it in conversations she’s had.  My guess is she died around 1970, because she’s never been older than a grade schooler.

I’m so lucky to have her presence.  Even if it’s just when I’m dreaming.  I suspect she found me to be both a father figure and a feminine persona, and that’s why she chose me.  I hope tonight is a CharChar night.  Haven’t heard from her in a few days.  I’ll miss her if/when she crosses over, but for now, she’s my precious little companion.

Name of Margarita came from sister, everybody just calls her Margoth for short, anyway remembering wearing her makeup and clothes while she was in the red-light area of Colombia, couldn’t wear mother Stella’s makeup because she was using it to hide bruises from father Edgardo, of course when father Edgardo found out—he would be violent and mad.

My mother's birth name was Mary but she never used it and went by her given Japanese name.  When it came time for me to decide my female name it was a no-brainer.  I always liked the name Mary and since my mom wasn't using it I took it as my own.

When I attended my first Tri-Ess meeting I was asked to sign in using my fem name. I had never used a fem name before. I thought about it briefly and decided to use Carole. This was the spelling that a favorite woman with whom worked used. It also sounds like my male name so if I responded to it in either male or female mode, no one would be the wiser.

The name Heather is my name if I had been born a girl and Jameson because I'm a huge James Bond fan, it's my way of getting to be a Bond girl. Ha, fat chance but a girl can dream.
