I finally did it, I took the plunge, and had the plunger put in, giggles
I had my ears pierced today!!
I had made the appointment, on Monday, and the anticipation and excitement was almost unbearable, waiting, lol.
But i have done it,now just the healing, and waiting until I can wear pretty dangles.
I thought I had read here, the period was 8 weeks, but the technician said 12.
One thing I didnt ask, and I should have, was how long do you have to clean them twice a day, and spin them, until they are healed?
Still so excited,
Hugs, Regi👸💖

I clean and spin mine at least twice a week, I find if I don't then my holes seem to close up and I almost have to poke thru' a layer of skin. I had mine done at Wal-Mart about 6 years ago and am still using the same hole still, I didn't get but one hole done and she told me to wait 6 weeks before I started wearing the heavier and dangler ones. She told me to clean them with Peroxide at least once a day for the 6 weeks and rotate them at lease once a day. I am now up to wearing some earrings 3" long and I have 1 pair that is 4" and weighs almost 5 ounces, now that you have been "poked", old mountain word, enjoy wearing as much as you want and show off.

I did it also. Literally. Using ice, a needle, and foam block behind the lobe.

It's best to get the store to do it as mine are not evenly pierced.

It's a great feeling.

Congratulations Regi!   With the wonderful variety of earrings out their ( that you are bound to purchase 😁 ) you may need to buy a nice jewelry box to put all that jewelry in - time to shop girl!!

I had mine done professionally at the earing store. She said clean and rotate at least once per day for 8 weeks. She also gave me a little bottle of solution for cleaning.

I have dangles now but only wear them for going out. For everyday I still wear my starter flowers, they're cute. I don't use the cleaning solution anymore but I still rotate them daily.

A jewelry box is a necessity now with earings, rings, bracelets, anklets and necklaces.

Lol, I have spent a ton on good jewels for my wife, through the years, and she has generously offered me free access, so it will have to be something special, to have to purchase more, but I'm looking, lol

The 12 weeks did seem a little long to me, but who am I to Argue?
I will just have to see how it goes

Hi Regi,

Congrats!  You can look forward to many choices of dangling or crafted earrings.
