At the beginning if the month I was browsing online for crossdressing servers that I could potentially see what I can utilize. Well boy my search worked out well as at the beginning of the month, I reached out to a business that specializes in helping crossdressers in MANY different aspects of their journey. They offer makeovers, in store services, girl talk, and finally the one that stood out to me, shopping accompanied by a stylist to a mall to pick out clothes. I decided to book an appointment for the end of the month which happened to be today.
I was so excited and nervous in the days leading up to the excursion. Today was finally the day. I walked through those mall doors admittedly not sure of what to expect and extremely nervous. I met up with the stylist and we talked, she got to know me a bit and I showed her previous photos I’ve taken of myself crossdressed. She loved my outfit choices. She said our first stop would be Torrid. I LOVE Torrid, so I was not opposed of course.
Little did I know at the time, Torrid would be the only stop we would take because I had so much fun browsing clothes in there and they had so much good stuff! I think in total I came out buying 4-5 skirts, 3-4 tops, a dress, shorts, and 2 bras, it was an absolute blast of a trip. The Torrid staff and my stylist were awesome in helping me try on clothes. My stylist thought I looked good in EVERYTHING I tried on and said I looked amazing in skirts and dresses. We spent a total of 2 hours at Torrid and I’m VERY happy with my purchases.
We talked as well. My stylist said she promised she’d be upfront if I looked “bad” in anything. She said I looked so cute and pretty in everything I tried on. She also said straight up that I look better in women’s clothes versus guy’s clothes. Overall, she was such a self confidence booster to me. I told her of my unsupportive parents and my situation too, how I’m still sort of afraid to go out in public in some places. She gave me some great advice and stories from other clients. We also talked about me going into the store to learn walking in heels, getting a makeover, trying on some wigs, and quite frankly I cannot wait to go back.
Mindy, if you somehow are reading this. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking me shopping and giving me so much self confidence in being who I want to be.
That is great to hear Holly I am glad you had a wonderful experience with both the staff at Torrid and Mindy the stylist fashion lady. It feels good to be supported and accepted for who we are. I believe when you have the opportunity to go back and get a makeover and try on wigs and walk in heels you will feel even more euphoria for what you are doing when it is a part of who you are. I am happy you had such a positive confidence building experience.

Wow! That all sounds amazing! (And maybe, someday, I'll be ready for just such an excursion!) Thanks!
This sounds amazing. I did not they had service's like this. I will have to check it out
Wow Holly what a wonderful experience to have had, and when I got to the end and you said you hope Mindy was reading this, I felt the same way. My wife's name is Mindy.
Hey Holly
So exciting!
I'm planning something similar for the New Year here in the UK, though in my case it will be a full makeover followed by an escorted shopping trip. A friend on here recommended it to me, and with my confidence currently at a ridiculously high level I can't wait.
On a different note, I think it's about time that Torrid opened up some UK branches. Every time the girls on here talk about it it seems to get rave reviews 🙂 And, of course, every branch should have a Mindy for hire.

I could have gone that route myself actually but I wanted to save some money
Oh how lovely for you Holly! I had a professional makeover in June which was absolutely amazing. A walk along the Thames and a coffee were also on offer but I wasn't ready to make my public debut en femme!
Hugs, Chrissie xx.
