Hi Ladies!! I just had to share this story... partly to share, partly to give hope, partly to inspire... here goes...
I took a break from work (at home) today to eat lunch. With some time to spare, I pondered, why not, could I paint my toes in a short time, and that bottle of nail polish gas been calling out to me for a while.
My plan started with just painting the pinky toes.
I usually start with a clear base coast, then a couple of thin coats, and finally a top coat. But that all takes a lot of patience, a really steady hand, and at least an hour to do and dry. And it's annoying how much effort and non-acetone nail polish remover it takes to remove all that.
Skip all that fanfare for today. I'm a girl on my lunch break, this is going to be quick and fast. Like a bored receptionist stuck covering the phones when her boss is at lunch.
This time, I drained as much excess polish off the brush, and started. A few long strokes, a few slight smudging strokes towards the corners, a couple long strokes to make it all blend, and done, 2 pinky toes looking so fem.
I was inspired by watching some YouTube videos lately of how quickly pros at nail salons paint clients' nails. Quick, and smooth.
I had plenty of time, so the next toe on each foot giggled to look like their cute neighbor. Done. And then the next three. Some touchups on all toes. Done. In less than 15 min, both feet were done.
No mess, though the lines could have been cleaner. Overall, very fem.
A year ago, I first tried painting my toes and it felt almost impossible to do something so basic. It was a mess. A few attempts later, it's much easier, I'm much wiser, and I stopped obsessing about perfection.
I can now walk freely around my house, no longer afraid of my wife seeing my toes or my family. This is just me, a part of me, a fem me.
So I painted my toes on my lunch break.
When I first read the title, I thought that you were at work and maybe painted them in your car or something. Then in my mind I was wondering if you put your socks and shoes back on and went into work thinking your socks are going to stick to your toe nails. Then I read your story and was enlightened! I enjoyed reading it.

How wonderful for you.
I've never tried painting my own toes, my wife di mine a couple years ago using clear polish. We go to a nail salon every couple months for mani-pedis and I get color on my toes and clear with a light pink tinge on my fingers. Recently I've gotten soe compliments on my fingers from some ladies I know. They said it was nice to see that I got a manicure and that it is something they would never be ablet o get their husbands to do. I told them I see a lot of men in the nail salon and getting a pedicure is nice. I told them my wife and I make a day out of it. It was so nice to be noticed and complimented.
XOXO

It is definitely a learned skill. My first attempts were a mess, but I am pretty good and quick these days...practice makes perfect. I wear a clear or light pink (barely noticiable) polish most of rhe time these days, so get a lot of practice. Bolder colors are fun to wear, but take a steady hand as mistakes show more.
Well, thanks for motivating me...
I was iny car at the gym trying motivate myself to workoit and then swim. As I sat there I remembered I had some nail polish in my bag, so I gave my nails a quick coat of sparkly silver polish. I did my workoit and swim, and am now having coffee while waiting for a yoga class, all with silver nails.
Fabulous! My wife and I go for manicures every 2 weeks. Once a month we get pedicures and on the other visit it’s a polish change. Been that way since Covid started … at this point all of Our friends and family know I paint my toes… Did it take some time for them to adjust? Yes… But That and my smooth legs Look great
