Hello everyone! I finally got the courage to go out in public dressed up! I had a doctors appointment today and I decided today was the day to try it. My parents aren ‘t supportive so I decided to get changed in my car in my blouse and maxi skirt and off I went.
So I got there, I put my phone, wallet, and keys into a new purse I just bought and I decided that I made it this far so I may as well go in. I went in and nobody batted an eye! Nobody seemed to care and nobody made any comments. When I went to see my doctor we talked as if nothing was happening When she gave me my medicines she told me I could put them in my purse. I tried to but I didn’t have enough room so she joked I should get a bigger one. Then, I went home.
Words cannot describe my happiness I feel that I managed to find it within me to do this. I feel so accomplished. I will 100% do it again in the near future, maybe go shopping. I’m just so giddy and happy right now!

Yeah I want to go out shopping next, the thought of doing it dressed up is something I have always wanted to do, but have never found the courage to do it, today was a step in the right direction though!

Good for you. The 1st time out is often full of apprehension but also exhilaration. For years, I never thought I would leave my house as Elisabeth. Fortunately, I became friends with a post op girl who gave me both encouragement and support to take that all important 1st little step.
