Hi everyone, hope all are well. I just wanted to relate another day in my life as Cassie. My Sunday started with going to Church with my daughter and her 2 girls. This is as close to 'male mode' as I get outside of my regular job. I wore black pants, heavy black blazer and a top from Torrid with black flats and black tights from Target. I tried to pick out the Torrid clothes so it looked like a men's suit and shirt (a closer look --- not so much). After Church I got ready for my Torrid job, Full Cassie, with forms and a little make up. Got off work at 3 and a couple quick stops to pick up a few things got home.. I was starving, so I had a meal and as I was finishing up my X asks me to come help her pick up a piece of furniture she had seen on swap online. Turned out it was at a retired co-worker (who doesn't know about Cassie). I don't change out of my full Cassie mode any more for almost anything. When we got to the house, nobody home. A couple of texts found out they were on there way home and would be about 45 min. We want to a nearby conveniance store so the X could grab a quick bite. There we meet a person from Church who had never seen me as Cassie, but he was not suprized, I go with my long hair tied back and painted nails often. He was very nice and seemed to accept me as Cassie. Then we went back to pick up the furniture, when my co-worker came out he looked at me funny for a few seconds, then said 'oh my God'. I told him I have made a few changes and was trying something different. He also seemed to be accepting me as Cassie. They showed off their back yard with all the nice land scapeing. They said in about 10 days they were getting a new shed and we should see it when it was done. As I was admiring the nice built in bar-b-que, we wrangled an invite tom a BBQ in a few weeks.
Cassie feels so accepted and want to push the envelope further!!!!!!!!!!!!
Acceptance is so uplifting. Good luck with more of it.
Very nice to hear and I am happy that you get to be you. We are living in a time were most people are aware of many different gender issues out there, so most people are not shocked when confronted with one. Most people are accepting and while they may or may not agree with such things general are live and let live about such things. The more people are exposed to such things the easier it becomes for everybody.
Despite much of the political BS out there, most people are accepting of other's choices or needs.
You go girl
Thanks, JJ. You are so right, a persons politics has only a little to do with us being accepted. Often people react one on one differently than one on a group or a group on group. I have a brother who does not accept me as Cassie and my X who does not also. Politically they are on oppisite sides, so we need to relate to others one on one and we will find those who will accept us as our selves.
. Cassie
Cassie you are truly blessed in having such acceptance.
The world is a much nicer place when you are being yourself. Enjoy the BBQ,
