For the last night of pride on Sunday, I went to karaoke solo en femme (a good friend was the kj) with a healthy dose of glittery eye makeup and cheek, and lipstick with glitter gloss. I wore a leopard print (a personal weakness) tank that my wife got me for my birthday, bright white short shorts with matching sandals and fresh barbie-pink nail polish. Almost immediately upon walking in a young GG in her pride parade kit ran up to me and gushed about my sandals and my glitter and told me she was my new best friend. It was very cute and disarming. Always nice to have allies!
Being on stage en femme for the first time was a trip! I love to sing though and just leaned into it. It was pretty quiet so I sang a lot, and became fast friends with two of the women. Both told me they hope I come back next Sunday "because you're just SO supportive" about their singing. And I thought to myself "and you're so supportive of my person!" I had a great time and it was nice to be out for pride, even though my wife was away on business. Even made it through Miley Cyrus' "Angels Like You"!
Karaoke, anyone?
Great experience, Nikki. Thanks for sharing.

Great post Nikki and thanks for sharing.
At one time The Emerald City group went out monthly I believe on Thursdays for Karaoke. I don't think they do this now but you might be able to bring back the interest!
Hugs,
Sandy
