Just came back from a wonderful trip.
Here on Ontario, Canada this weekend is a long weekend so I had booked an airbnb cottage far away for me and my wife. The plan was to have some Kelly time and I boy did I do it.
Saturday morning I packed up and having problems keeping light packing I ended up taking more then needed just because I couldn't decide on what outfits to take. The only thing I knew was that it would be 100% Kelly clothes so no pants or flats or so, only dress, skirt and heels. The outfit for the drive was white top and a ankle long red skirt plus of course heels.

We took off and after about 1h driving we took the first break in Perth. Being a Saturday it was people all over the place but I have built up enough courage that I didn't care. I call my self glance passable, besides that I'm kind of overdressed (despite being a warm sunny day it was very few skirt/dresses and no heels at all) you probably need take a second look before you see that it's a guy wearing skirt and heels.

We took a walk around the streets and across a big park, walked in to some stores and had a great time. I think the biggest issue I had was that since we have mask mandate inside stores I had to put on a mask and that mask of course messed up my lipstick that had to be fixed now and then.

In a thrift store I found a skirt that I figured will fit me perfect but it's a kind of fancy skirt so I don't know at what occasion I can wear it. Now for $10 I figured it doesn't matter if it never leaves the house so I got it (checked later - and yes it fit perfect).

Now my mask is  a little special, I have a N95 under but on the outside I have a fabric one that has a big female smile on the outside and lots of people have commented that they like my mask, even from guys when I wear it in male mode. Walking between stores I didn't take off the mask and when we passed 3 ladies (all in simple pants and tshirt) two said "like your mask" and the third said "I like the skirt", think that's the first time I ever heard someone comment on my outfit.
After we had enough of walking around we ordered some food and sat down outside to eat.

This was a great start of the trip. Kelly was out in public and I felt great all the time.

After that stop we kept rolling but later towns are way smaller and the stops there did not have the same excitment.

We arrived to the cottage and it was pretty much what I expected, very private place with lots and lots of forest around. It has trails around there also but by now it had started to rain a little and started to get dark so it wasn't that easy to explore the area.

According to the weather forecast Sunday was going to rain all afternoon so in the morning we took a quick drive around the area to see what it looked like, did go in to "town" (pop 600) to get some groceries we forgot to take, then back and wait for next highlight of the trip.

For the first time in my life I was about to meet another Crossdresser, one I connected with here on CDH. They came over and we had a great chat (thank you so much for taking the time to do that drive).
I'm an introvert and don't have many friends at all to start with and the people who knows about Kelly is my wife, our two kids and people here on CDH. I don't even talk to store people so it's really no one else and that made it extra exciting to meet another CD, one who actually knows other crossdressers and meet up with them now and then. If it wasn't for the 6h drive I would gladly join in at some meeting but alas, that's not going to happen. (I have looked for something closer to Ottawa but found nothing, probably just not looked hard enough).
While the forecast had said rain all day it didn't come one drop. We did take a short walk through the forest up to a lookout point which I had hoped to be more of a lookout but at least we got a walk (and the mosquitos had a feast on us).
Over all a great day.

Monday morning was checkout time and time to drive back. It was pretty much the same, stopped at some dangerous stores (chocolate factory outlet store, managed to get away without buying the whole store), looked at nice view (today was sunny) and hit some stores where the name gave no clue about what's inside ("mystery stores").

The stop in Perth had less people today but still a lot of them. This time we just walked around and ended the walk with some ice cream. While eating the ice cream I was sitting so that people lining up to get in to the shop was basically looking at me sitting at the table next to the door. That could been a very nervous situation but I felt just fine, no one cared about me (maybe because they had their hand full keeping the kids under control), not even the kids (guess ice cream is more interesting).

We are now home and I'm still dressed but the sad moment is coming closer. Tomorrow is work day and while I work from home we start with video calls so my nail polish will have to go for a start.

We planning on doing more trips like this, I'm really looking forward to it.

You are lucky to have a accepting wife. My wife of soon to be 50 years wants nothing to do with Terri. But I have CD friends and am able to get out. Your trip sounded lovely.

Well, not 24/7, more like 24/2.5 or about 60h. Going for a longer trip like this need an accepting SO and I'm so thankful for having that.
Now maybe next round can be done in a bigger town instead of a private cottage, we see.

I was thinking that if my wife hadn't supported me I cold gone on my own but no, it would have been way less interesting then.
Now if you have CD friends to go with you should be ok to have some Terri time somewhere for more than a few hours.

When I told my wife after 10 years of marriage about my femme side she was completely shocked. We had children and my wife is a very strong catholic and would never consider divorce. She also would never accept my femme side. Thankfully I spoke to the pastor who helped us both. After a few years I realized that my femme side was not going away. Balance became and still is the keyword in my life. I have expressed my femme side in many places. I have met some very nice and interesting people in the LGBT community. My family has and always will be my first priority. I could never walk away from them.

That is a great write up, Kelly! I was so happy to meet you, and I must say you looked fabulous in the red dress and heels when we arrived!

It was a pleasure to meet you and your wife, we quite enjoyed the afternoon of conversation. That cottage is a nice place to spend some time, and the privacy and all of the wildlife is a bonus too.

I'm glad you had such good time away from home, and greatly appreciated your hospitality.

Haha!

I suffer from taking too much stuff as well, Kelly!

My boot and main, large case gets stuffed with all manner of dresses, skirts, tops and shoes because I can't decide in advance what I am going to wear - it has to be spontaneous and fit the occasion.

I recognise the makeup ruining masks too - despite lip gloss, makeup fixer and Coty's Airspun (other products are available), nothing takes makeup off quicker than a mask.

Maybe we should use marks instead of wet wipes...

Sounds like you had a great time - thanks for the lovely write up.

It's so nice to meet up with a sister when out - especially one from CDH!

Love Laura

That's wonderful Kelly, I'm going to be having a weekend beach getaway with my boyfriend this weekend and I plan to be dressed pretty much the entire weekend. Those are definitely trips to look forward to.
