Hey girls.
First time i share my life, but this is a really big deal for me. I have a weekend with my friends right now and my gf was getting ready, doing nails and packing, im always pretty punctial so i was long finished, so essentially i had some time to kill. What to do? Then is saw my nail set in the bathroom, and i thought: lets make some pretty nails. I made a black / dark green patern and it was just a crime to remove immediatly. So i did something i never thought I'll do.
I left it on! 😳 The response so far is really positive. Another friend also did his nails when he saw mine. So happy! Tomorrow we're going to Rotterdam for dinner and bowling. I really wonder how everyday people will react. But is do look fabulous!
Ps. I tried to add a picture but im not that good with forums so i failed. Is it even possible?

I didn't wear nail polish in drab for the longest time, because I was afraid of the reaction.
Then I started doing it ... and ... no-one's bothered at all. Not one comment. Ever.
I've got bolder since I took early retirement. For the last few days my nails have been a sort of metallic coppery pink. I smile every time I look at them!

Doing patterns on your own, especially when you have to use the 'wrong' hand, sounds pretty advanced!

@ellyd22 oh its not a advanced partern. Its just a black background with a green snake like shadow on it. Im not proud of this because of obvious reasons but i love harry potter. Have since i was a kid. Especially slytherin, thats thy i love this theme.
It's perfectly possible to hate JK Rowling while still loving Harry Potter 🙂

No, not in forums, but you can always add a picture to your public photos page. Just hover over Photos along the top then click on Upload Your Photo and away you go.

I started getting gel manicures a few months ago. I really had no good reason to wait since I'm trans. I just never did it. Now that I have, I don't see myself going back anytime soon.
While you can't post photos in the Forums, you can post a link to your Private Photos. Post one in there and then paste the link into this thread.

I do not think it matters any more, men having painted nails. Ithas been a 'thing' for quite a while and know that Goths , gosh even back in the day New Romantics had them.
Naturally for you it has a personal meaning but it is a start and hope you are able to bring yourself out more.

My vocabulary just got expanded. I never knew such a trend existed, except maybe Sonny and Cher indirectly.
I tend to wear very pale or clear nail polish at work and coloured at the weekend.

I wear a light pink most of the time with a top coat of clear gloss, if I feel brave the light pink is replaced with a bright pink. I am due at the hairdressers in a few weeks and I hope to pluck up the courage to ask for a manicure while my hair is being done.
I have worn various colors from clear to extermely light pink to metalic silver and bright red while othwrwise in male mode. I have had several comments, all positive. People, espcially women seem to like it a compliment me on the color, or ask what shade I am wearing. Most guys just don't comment but also do not seem to care. I would wear colors more often but my wife prefers I keep my dressing quiet.
