I had a girly evening after work yesterday, full Anna mode.
I had a trail run today. Before a run, most of us don't shower from the practicality of keeping pores clear and putting kit onto dry skin - it will chafe if put fresh onto clammy skin.
So into the start area, there was a distinct smell of Peppered Earth perfume (look innocent, chat to the others, hope no-one notices).
Called to marks and off we go. Very hot, humid quickly sweating hard. Wipe down my face....I've got lipstick down my wristband, I clearly didn't get it all off. Experimental dab of face, no more lipstick trace, twist wrist band so it can't be seen outwardly.
Has anyone else had a near miss?

So many times we'll have come in from a day out and I sit down in the evening and take my makeup off. My wife tends to fall asleep quickly and doesn't see the final result so in the morning, as I'm just about to take the dog out, she mentions that I'm still wearing eye-liner! Hey, I think, it was alright for Gary Numan, but then come down to Earth as he was a rock star and I'm just a local dog-walker in a village where I hide my feminine self (mostly).
I trot off upstairs and remove offending makeup; I so struggle to get eye-liner off. Perhaps I'll become a Gary Numan tribute and bluff it out in future.

Oh gosh.. a yes to that. I pitched up to work and in the office a girl came up and looked at me quizzically, 'Have you got mascara on?' I mumbled a fumble and she walked away. I carried on for a while and dashed to the rest roo. Yes there were faint traces which were washed away. Only a girl would spot that! Nothing more was said, phew....
I fell asleep with make up on , had a leasurily morning before heading off to a lunch partt with my staff. It turns out I had forgot to take it off in the morning and did not notice it until after I got home. Most off it wore off on my pillpw at night, but there was some eye shadow and liner still visible...subtle, but visible. Nobody seemed to notice, and nothing was ever said.
My staff saw me in my cycling kit regularly since I often cycle to work, so my shaved legs were always plain to see, and I regularly underdressed, so they may have noticed panty or bra lines, so they may have known I dressed. I was one editing some CD pictures of my self when I jad some free time in my office, but I got called away and left my laptop open, but at an angle facing down. I know my receptionist had gone into my office, but whether she noticed or not I don't know. I think she probably did, but never said anything. I am retired now, but still wonder what she saw.
When I was probably 13, I put some sparkly nail polish on my mom had. I got most of it off, but like a day later at school, I looked down at my right hand and saw a bunch of sparkly nail polish I had missed on the cuticles of a couple nails.
oopsie 🤣
These days, I try to be extra careful and observant when removing make up. I wore some sparkly eyeshadow today and before I go to sleep, I will double check everything and make sure I didn’t miss it. I could just see walking into work tomorrow morning into the drivers room and someone noticing that. 🤣🤣🤣
oh Lord, that would not go over well at all there lol. I would never hear the end of it. Ever.
I get almost caught daily. The women I work with surely know something is up. It’s not enough for them to call me a woman, but many are wondering about me. No one says anything. We had a trusting vulnerable moment once and I came out to some. All smiles. One coworkers clearly knows and is casually yet joyous when she compliments me on my girly choices.
Clear nail polish, cute earrings, foundation, women’s slacks and blouses that kinda pass for male, faint lip gloss, shaved legs.
Don’t care.
Remind me to not get involved with make-up any time soon. 🫣
It all seams like a shocker when it happens, very very embarrassing moment, your heart races pounds, !!!
But really it all happen to every one sooner or later ,
Just, take it for what it is, learn from it , and move forward ..
Life to short of little things ??? Right
