ONE NIGHT IN HEAVEN

Ever had a dream come true ?

Late last year Sue suggested a get together of members here in the UK. Like most parents finances are tight, and spending on the kids usually takes priority, but for once decided to put me first if the opportunity arose. Then came a couple of possible dates, I immediately requested time off work to allow me to attend the second date and started planning, kids spend weekend with the ex.✔️Hotel✔️Train✔️Then the hardest part - getting glammed up !

I  have only ever been out en femme driving, window shopping etc, never interacting with anybody, trying to blend in, and I guess not be noticed. This meet may be my one and only chance to let this desire in me out fully so I determined to go the whole nine yards. The venue was Pink Punters, a large LGBT club near London. Their website has a photo gallery each week which which I studied for ideas. I also asked advice from friends on this site and got some helpful and honest opinions. Hit the shops many times over the weeks leading up to the event, and ideas and a list of requirements grew and grew, as did the bag I was planning to bring.

Left my home at 5am on the big day for a five hundred mile rail trip with my thoughts and feelings in overdrive. Arrived at the hotel mid afternoon then set to work.

For the first time in my life I shaved EVERYWHERE except the hair on my head, then moisturised my whole body with a gorgeous smelling lotion, turned up the heating, and just let it soak in for a while totally naked. Next got out the self tanning mousse, and discovered you have to be a bit of a contortionist to apply it to your back, and again let it soak in. I thought it was a bit dark, noticed it said on the bottle even after it is washed off it leaves the skin with a 'healthy glow', so I jumped in the shower and watched as a puddle of beige developed around my feet ! worrying I had just wasted my time. When I dried myself and looked in the mirror I was stunned, no longer a peelywally (pale and sickly looking) Scot, but my skin actually had a healthy glow, and OMG looked so feminine. Why have I never done this before ???? I moisturised again, and while waiting for it to soak in, I applied my nail polish to nails which I had been growing,nurturing,filing for a few weeks. I picked some nice underwear to get the shape right and suit the outfit.

Then the face, plucked and shaped the brows as much as I dared, applied primer, foundation ( even some down to my chest ), eyeliner, eyebrows, eyeshadow, some blusher on the cheeks, lipstick and gloss.. Then the fake lashes😲needs a lot of patience and manual dexterity, but eventually managed and thought they created extra impact to the eyes. Then some mascara to the bottom lashes, job done !

Doh,   the hair, fixed, brushed and clips to keep it off my face. Jewellery, rings, bangle, earrings, and a couple of necklaces, one of which was a choker with a clasp which was sooooo fiddly to clasp behind the neck tight enough so it would stay in place. Mental note - put it on before the hair next time( if there is a next time) would have been so much easier.

Slipped into a burgundy above the knee skirt and sleeveless peplum top which matched my  skirt ( almost). This was the reason I spent so much time on the skin as I knew my arms and legs would be uncovered. Having looked at the recent photo gallery of the venue, open toed black heeled sandals and a smart leather (faux😂) jackets seemed to be on trend so I got them to finish the look, plus a gorgeos little bag(purse to my American friends) with a chain strap to hold my essentials (hairbrush,lipgloss,cash,phone). Final spray of some perfume, and ready to go. At least four hours of the best fun, and I was happy with the results. As the saying goes' be the best you can be', and I think I came pretty close.

Now the hard part, a final check in the mirror, and take that giant leap, into the corridor ! I was so relieved to see some familiar faces in the hotel restaurant I started to relax a bit, and was so impressed with everybody's confidence. On chatting it became clear that I was one of the 'newbies'  as far as crossdressing is concerned, and friends had come longer distances than I to attend.

The venue was just across the road from the hotel, but there was a small muddy grass verge to contend with, not usually a problem, but in heels !!! We soldiered on.

The venue was huge, entry, security etc no problem, and I was so glad when Liv suggested heading for the dance floor. I have danced in heels in my own home and loved it, but this was a million times better. I have no idea how long it lasted but I was as happy on that dance floor as I have been for a very long time, as probably evidenced by the huge stupid grin I could not get off my face ! Just loads of happy people enjoying the music, and looking around at all the stunningly beautiful girls around me I felt inside for a short time that I was one of those girls, having fun, no inhibitions, just moving to the music and loving it.

Even a visit to the toilet was exciting. They were mixed male/ female with cubicals. Now I know why women make such a big deal about toilet seats. I was planning to do the girly thing and sit down but the seat had been sprayed on. What do you do girls ?  I didn't fancy squatting over the toilet in heels with my knickers round my ankles ( would probably have ended up in A&E) so I chickened out and reverted to male mode behind the locked door! After washing my hands I even had the confidence to get out my hairbrush and lipgloss to do some beauty maintenance in the mirror, a woman nearby was doing the same❤️

Back on the dancefloor I could have danced until my feet bled, and a good looking woman kept making eye contact with me ( or maybe just staring at a man dressed as a woman )anyway it felt good. Alas all good things must come to an end. Back to the hotel, out of the clothes, off with the nailpolish and makeup slipped into some silky pjs and Chilled with some wine and the latest edition of Cosmopolitan I picked up at the train station.

Anyway it was my 'One night in heaven, sorry if it bored you but I just had to share. Thanks to Sue, the inspiration behind the idea, Liv for being a friend and showing us your confidence and ability on the dancefloor💃and all the other members who helped me relax. Also thanks to Pink Punters , where you can be confident and relaxed regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation etc. Wish I could do it every weekend, crossdressers in Milton Keynes you are sooooo lucky. And thanks to CDH for bringing like minded people together to help us enjoy our wonderful obsession.
