Since I have two teenage children living with me in a small apartment, it's hard to find an opportunity to dress. So when my mother (who lives nearby) went on vacation for a couple of weeks, I went to her house and dressed there. Well apparently, I wasn't too good at packing everything up because when she got home, she called and asked if I had allowed anyone to stay at her place. "No", I replied. "Why do you ask?" And then she proceeds to tell me that she found a pair of women's jeans and two women's tops in her apartment that don't belong to her! Uh oh...
Of course, I continued to deny any knowledge as I frantically searched through my closet to see what I had forgotten. Now here's the really strange part. I know exactly which pair of jeans I lost (they were my favorite), but I have no idea what tops she's talking about. As far as I can tell, all of my tops are present and accounted for.
Luckily this happened once before when a man's watch mysteriously showed up in her home. She had no idea where that came from. So, I told her the clothes must belong to the wife of the man who left the watch.
Quick thinking Elise! What story did you have to tell her so you could get your fave jeans back? I totally understand the space and teens while no time alone to do anything let alone dress. I have a step son who is home from college for the summer. He has 1 real friend he hangs with but she has a boyfriend so her time for my step son is limited. Thus he spends his non work time at home. He has a part time job. My wife and I took a short vacation and I was able to dress in lingerie in the evenings and spend good quality alone time with my wife for a week. So I do understand the lack of alone time. TTFN

Haven't gotten them back. I think I'm going to have to write them off. That's not too big a deal, but I'm going crazy trying to figure out which tops I left there!!
Elise........it is not nice to fool with mother. Don't you remember as a youngster she always knew what you did even though you fibbed about it? I am sure she will figure it out and then you will be in trouble LOL!

You are too funny. I'm sure she thinks I brought a lady friend there so the kids didn't see. I highly doubt she'd guess I'm a cross dresser. I just went to see her and she didn't mention it. But you never know. Somehow mothers always seem to figure things out.
