Penny’s Autumn Break - Day 1 of 3

It’s been a while since my wife and I have been away on a Break, over the last 2 years we’ve been very busy dealing with a lot of personal stuff and family antics, Penny has been around, but in a limited way.

About a week ago Penny made an appearance, in all her glory, it was a fab day.

We booked a few days away weeks ago, and last week my wife made a little comment, “perhaps Penny should come away with us”. That got me thinking, and excited.

Should I, could I, ooh, ermm, completely en femm for 3 whole days, oh yes.

So here I am, at the end of day one of our mini break, in a “no frills” hotel in the Scottish Borders, approx. 2 hours from home and here is a summary of today. Apologies for the length of the post.

The preparation started last night, getting my nails done, painted, but not too long.

This morning I got fully dressed en femm, packed twice (with a “drab go bag” in case I bottle it), waited for our daughter to arrive to dog sit (1) (she’s known about Penny for ages, but never met her), walked out my front door (2) for all my neighbors to see (nobody knows, well they do now!) , packed the car and drove towards our destination.

First destination was a service station to grab lunch and fill the car up with electrons (3)(standing outside the car, download the app, create and account, give card details, charger broken arghh), had lunch. 3 miles down the road we found another charger, plugged in for free, brief discussion with stranger about the charging station (4), 30 mins later we were on the road.

About an hour down the road, we stopped in to a friend of my wife’s (5), she knew Penny was coming, but this is the first person out with my very immediate family that has met Penny.

Next stop is a shopping center, parked up, got the car charging again, then we headed to the shops. Helped my wife get different sizes of jeans while she was trying on other clothes in one shop, browsed around in a few others. More shopping tomorrow. It was quite quiet today, passed many people, nothing said, maybe a few glances, still feeling great we headed to the hotel.

Desk clerk says “and the names of the guests”, “Mandy and Penny” my wife replies (6). Even signed into the wifi as Penny. Oh what fun!

Next was out for dinner (7), the restaurant is right next to the hotel, so only a very short walk. We were shown to our table and the server introduced himself “Good evening ladies….”(8), enjoyed that. A very nice meal, nothing posh, more pub grub comfort food.

Oh what was I wearing?, during the day, kitten heel court shoes, black leggings, LBD, long coat, breast forms, wig, makeup etc. For dinner I changed into mid heel knee boots, a jumper dress and leggings.

8 new experiences ticked off my list today, don’t know how many more I can do by the end of our trip?
