Penny’s Autumn Break Day 2 of 3

The day started early, well we had breakfast booked for 9am, I’ve never got ready to a deadline before, and if things go wrong in the makeup department, I could easily be late, or starve. So thankfully everything was done first time, even with that self-inflicted pressure.

Breakfast (11) was just next door in the same place as last nights dinner, continental buffet style, we also indulged in the hot cooked part too, so only snacks planned for the rest of the day. Most of the tables were taken, business people, couples & families with all ages of kids. Joining the short queue with everyone else for the continental part, then back to the table to eat and wait for the cooked course.

There has been some very heavy rainfall recently, and more forecast for the day, so we decided to head to an indoor shopping center, the best one in the area was in North England (foreign country, LOL (12)). We battled our way through the semi flooded roads and hit the shops.

In and out a few shops, bought some beauty products in one shop, I paid at the till (13) (“Would you like a bag? Would you like to buy one more item and get one free? Would you like this gift set on offer? Do you have a loyalty card? Would you like one?” the sales assistant says, getting lots of femme voice practice!), Christmas gifts in another shop. Found some dress trousers to go with my highest of heels, “Lets go and try them on” my wife says, “ermm, OK” from me (14). No fuss using the ladies changing rooms. Two pairs were just too narrow at the ankle, but the third pair would look great (while looking in the mirror and balancing on the balls of my feet). In and out of a few more shops, but sometimes they just don’t have what you are looking for. With the rain still falling heavily from the sky we headed back to the hotel.

Stopped in at one of the big chain supermarkets (15) in the area, bought some snacks and popcorn to have during our “movie evening” in the hotel room. Fast charged the car for an hour and we’re all set for the long trip home tomorrow. After the movie I painted both of our toe nails, then we both tried Cucumber Face Masks (16), a first for my wife too!

There was lots of walking to do today, so I wore maroon converse style trainers (BTW they are not waterproof, car was parked in a BIG puddle this morning with all this rain, so had slightly damp feet for most of the day), black skinny fit ladies jeans, black top which is very busy with white small flowers, long coat, breast forms, wig, makeup etc.

And the movie, The Guilty 2021 with Jake Gyllenhaal, Ethan Hawke & Riley Keough, a different type of film, but we both enjoyed it.
