  • A few months ago a friend want to meet to talk but I had just washed my hair and set it in rollers. I have no problem going out in rollers because I do day sets all the time. It was pretty late so I touched up my makeup and was already in a pretty dress. I had brought a new pair of heels I want to wear so I put them on they had a small toe strap and a bucket ankle strap to secure them. After meeting my friend I am exiting the highway when my toes come out of the shoe still strapped to my ankle jamming into the gas pedal causing my car to surge ahead and lose control I pull in to a parking lot to change my shoes and three police cars pull up with flashlights and I am in a dress, make up, and a head full of rollers and no shoes. It was terrifying especially when they ask for my ID. Thoughts of going to jail in rollers, make up and a dress. Thank God they let me go.

A close shave indeed, I went out last night fully dressed for a run in the car, I forgot my phone and drove around with a sense of fear what would I do if the car broke down or I had an accident and had to walk home   Or call somebody. The risk of getting “caught” sometimes clouds my judgement.

A number of times when out dressed fully fem or androgynous, I was followed by police cars. I wondered what to say or do if pulled over. Fortunately it never happened. There was a time I was androgynous in pantyhose, short shorts and platform wedge sandals waiting on a cashier line to buy pantyhose. I saw a police officer walking towards me. Oh no. This is not good. I wanted to put down the pantyhose and flee. He picked up some merchandise and got on the cashier line a couple of people behind me.

My legs in shiny pantyhose, short shorts and platform wedge sandals would be clearly visible to him. I wished I was somewhere else, doing something else or wearing something else. I just wanted to get out of there. I waited patiently, paid for my pantyhose and left the store.

I've walked past police while androgynous and fully dressed. I'm always a bit nervous but never had a problem.

Many moons ago I was out dressed and driving at night and thought I'd replicate my "sales rep day job" and drive around the locations of some of my clients. One of these was in an industrial estate and of course driving around in that area, caught the attention of that cities "finest".

So the whole bit, flashing lights, pulled over, torch in the face. BUT! I had not been drinking and I had my male license in my handbag. (BOTH absolute musts!!) So the last piece of advice from the friendly officer was, "think its time you went back to your hotel SIR!!!).

Which of course I promptly did just that

Can laugh about it now, but a bit scary back then.

Knowing quite a few LE personnel I can tell you ladies with conviction that they are more concerned about being shot or getting involved in a physical altercation than what we wear. If you are polite, courteous and act a proper lady they could care less. But as was said by Caty being sober and giving your license are a must. If your partying uber and cabs are your friend!  Yes I have been pulled over for speeding dressed way back when and no he didn’t bat an eye. Trust me they have seen it all.

Wow Jane, I would have had a heart attack and called a cab to go home or called the wife. Of course I would never hear the end of it from my wife, lol! Cell phones are either a boon or a bane! Although in the end everyone was very polite but do you think anyone noticed you weren’t exactly a woman? You know what most Americans think about Canadians though? Y’all are very nice in the country to our north. I tend to agree because when I was in the military I met a squadron of RCAF troops, at RCAF base Cold Lake, who were the best. They even showed us Yanks how to really drink beer, lol! Those were some of the best 90 days I have ever had while in the military. Anyway that is a bit funny of a story.TTFN💋💕

Hi Getting Stopped by Police is a fear of mine. But probably not Necessary. I  go to a Pub night once a month for the CD/ TG/ TS/ Community near me. I all ways change there. But drive home dressed. I Have often wondered what would happen if I got stopped. After reading some of the posts here. if I am polite and respectful  Every thing will probably be fine. I all ways get my answers from this great Site.

Oh how times have changed. My only incident with the police was back in 1970, I was 18yrs old and had only been driving a few weeks when late one July evening I was pulled over by the police, well one very young and ambitious constable. I had not been speeding, nor drinking etc , but I was dressed and times were different then!!!

within minutes of approaching what he obviously thought was a young woman driving alone I found myself handing my keys to him and being ‘asked’ to sit in the police car. His attitude was one of complete contempt and I was told I was not under arrest but I was being taken to the police station. I was so naive and sick to my stomach that I sat there as he drove to the station.

At the station the ancient desk sergeant mockingly asked me what I was doing out dressed like I was, why did I dres like that and most bizarrely, do you have a girlfriend?. I said nothing but his tone was frightening and he played to the audience of his lower ranked officers. Finally he told me to go, threatening that he would be in contact with my parents, he never was .

Recently my was hit by another car, the other driver did not stop and my car was badly damaged, worse still I was dressed. A passing patrol car stopped, took details of the hit and run, asked me if I was okay and waited until the tow truck arrived. This time I was driven home by the police officer who returned to give me the incident number for my insurers, and no mention of me being dressed . Now that is what I mean by how times have changed.

in the UK it is not illegal to dress and to be treated with respect is a right .

I got taken to jail once, not outwardly dressed, but had fishnet stockings, panties, and a soft see thru satin lingerie shirt/top. Upon arriving at the jail and being taken into the back to change into jail clothes, i tried to get them to give me privacy to change, but their policy was to watch you as you change, then do a body search. I reluctantly removed my male clothing, exposing my girly stuff underneath. 2 of the guards began to laugh and mock me, and rven grabbed 3 other cops to come over and look at me like i was some kind of freak show. The seargent jokingly told one of them to make sure he gives me an extra intense body search, with emphasis on my backside, and so when it came time to be searched, he spent a little too much time with my backside and his cavity search, it was more like being finger banged in the backside than just a simple search. Since i didn't have male underwear with me,they told me to put my panties back on, and so i spent the next 3 months in jail with my panties to wear, which soon my cellmate noticed one day, which resulted in a kind of akward conversation!
