So it occurred to me today while doing laundry: When I start washing a load of laundry, I can never remember exactly what clothes went in or how many. Sometimes I will put clothes in the washer, then forget to move them to the dryer until late at night or the next morning.

But when I need to add some of my one piece swimsuits to the load, I will remember exactly how many went in, which ones, and approximately when they get done in the washer. My focus is normally on getting my swimsuits out to hang dry them (to avoid the wear and tear of the dryer) and I will just move my other clothes to the dryer while I am there.

My swimwear just gets rinsed in fresh water and hung on the line or fence. Or if we are driving home, on the mirror where the wind dries it. But most often, she has me swimming nude so I just let the sun dry my skin.

I never count my other laundry, it all goes together whether it is boy clothes or girl clothes. I take care of my wife's laundry chores too. Our panties all go in the same drawer and we share the same closet.

I usually know how many days it was since my last laundry.  I usually do it once a week, but may do it earlier or later depending on other things.  So I know there are usually seven tops, seven skirts, seven pairs of panties, seven or less panty girdles, seven pairs of socks (maybe pantyhose, stockings or tights in cooler weather).  All plus or minus one or two depending on when I did my last laundry.

As far as time, I know it takes about 35 minutes for the wash, and an hour for the dryer.  Items that need to be hung I'll turn after an hour or two, and maybe open the waistband if things still aren't dried.  A few items take longer to dry, but most items that need air drying will dry pretty quickly.
