As I venture in my queerdom I was really excited to wear a skirt for the first time out at open and affirming queer church and then later that day at a birthday party with other lgbtq friends. I paired it with Birkenstock sandals and a Smokey the bear tshirt
I felt empowered, beautiful, confident and loved. I loved to show off in public my shaved legs and skirt without feeling condemnation.
This was particularly important since I grew up in an evangelical conservative home where things like this would not be tolerated. For the first time I felt like the woman I know I have inside me.
@duchess well done! In everyday life I present en-homme but wear shorts most of the year. Nobody seems to have noticed or care that I have shaved legs
