So my flight from Harrisburg after the Keystone conference got delayed by a day. Won't bore you with details, you have probably all been thru it. I ended up staying overnight at the airport motel. My first thought was another dressing opportunity. So I got en femme and went to the motel bar/restaurant. I recognized a couple sitting at the bar from the airport going thru the same experience as i. When I placed my order I told the bartender I had a voucher from the airline. The lady started a conversation about their experience, then invited me to sit with them. We ate dinner together, drank too much together, and laughed, and just had a great time. It was such a wonderful experience after such a wonderful week. Lesson learned, most people l don't care how you dress.

Was there any mention of you being a crossdresser from you or them or was it a just a chance meeting ? Sounds like nice people sharing the same experience and enjoying it.

Sorry to hear of the delay Elaine - but it looks like you made quite a nice batch of lemonade from the lemons you were given! We'll be talking soon!

When life gives you lemons, forget the lemonade.

Use them in cocktails!

Hi Elaine, sorry to hear of your travel headache, but it sounds like you still had a good time. It was nice meeting and talking with you on Saturday. Hopefully the rest of your trip is smooth sailing.

I agree, the vast majority of people do not care how you are dressed. A few may comment to themselves, which is not necessarily a bad thing because it gets people discussing it. My hope is such discussionay just lead to a lityle fun and experimentation by people such as the couple you had drinks with. Something ro the effect of, "It would be fun to try on your panties and a dress tonight, or you would look cute if you wore my blue dress, why don't you try it on when we ger back to our room."

A very small.number of.people truly have a provlem with people dressing as they choose, and as I have said many times, if they have a provlem with it, it is their peovlem, not mine.

Thanks for sharing, Elaine.

Sometimes you don't understand what things happens, but if  a problem turns out well, it's wonderful. It is food for the spirit.

Have a safe trip home.

Hugs,

Gisela

Elaine,

Yes, it is true, you are correct.  People are way too busy and stuck in their own world to care how we dress.  OTOH, as you found out, when there is interaction between us and others, people are non judgemental, in virtually all cases.

The challenge is trying to get closeted CDs to step out for the first time.  When they finally do, they are amazed just how easy it is to do, and most often how addictive it becomes.

Here in Atlanta, we are at the beginning of festival season, when one or more of the greater metropolitan cities or counties will have a festival for this or that from now until  this fall.  This is a tremendous opportunity to mingle and meet people in the general public, while having some great fun.

Peggy Sue. Speaking of Atlanta food festivals - our good friends own Big Shanty Smokehouse in Kennesaw. We have helped them work their food truck at the Pigs and Peaches festival. Perhaps we've seen each other and not known.
