I just had cataract surgery on my right eye. Now for those who haven’t had this kind of surgery, it not that bad. It’s fairly quick. It’s the recovery that take a long time. There’s those eye drops you have to use for one month. Then there’s the stupid cup you have to tape over your eye while sleeping for two weeks, and tape they give you to hold the cup onto your face feels as if it’s going to rip your skin off while removing it. Now this is the part that going to be hard and meant for real women but applies to me as well since I’m a cross-dresser. NO MAKEUP FOR TWO WEEKS!
Two weeks! Ugh! Yes. I can still dress and wear a wig, but I never been a cross-dresser to go partial in my feminine appearance, and I do enjoy the challenge of applying makeup. And since I’m now retired, I’m use to dressing whenever I want to.
This is going to be a long two weeks.
Patience required Edie 😉 Please don't jeopardise the healing. I had mine done a few years back. There's no other options if you have cataracts and want your vision back.

No problem, just get a sparkly eye patch that matches your outfit or wear huge dark fem sun glasses.
I had both eyes done and didn't have to put an patches. I did have the upgrade to corrective lens. It was a real simple and quick. No pain. Surprised me. The eye drops before and after is a pain. This drop this day. then after 1 week add the secound eye drops and so on. The corrective lens allow me to not have to wear glasses. Night time driving has a whole new look. Star headlights and taillights but doesn't interfere.
So sorry Edie.
Hugs, Liara
Been there -- I had both eyes done, the time passes quickly.
Hang in there Sweetie.
Hang in there, Edie. You’ll be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel much clearer soon. 😁
