I had an experience this afternoon. I walked to my fav deli down the street & still had my earrings in from yesterday. My makeup was still visible from last night, so I reapplied it & put on a blouse & hair bow. When you work from home you can dress however you want everyday.
The earrings are studs so I thought they were safe & didn't really think anything of it. I don't remember if I was in boy or Nicole mode when I bought the earrings. It's okay for boys to wear studs so that's why I didn't think about it, but today they seemed to look a little too good w my blouse. The checkout girl was probably my age (40s) & an owner. We talked about my dogs which I had with me. And her homemade recipe for cinnamon rolls, which she didn't have any 🙁 Then I casually said, "I'm not trying to be a girl, but look here (let's acknowledge the obvious, but in a fun, flirty way). Do you think these earrings are androgynous? Would a guy wear these, or are they more girly?" Her answer: they are definitely more feminine. I love when women are 100% authentic & not judgmental. So there's that, & partially outing myself to my step-sister last night.
